Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort Moisturizing Body Lotion for Baby and Toddler, 8 fl oz

This is definitely my favorite hand moisturizer. I have used various ones, including the real hard-core, bad-smelling "Vitamin A%26D Ointment" which has existed for 100 years or whatever. My hands always have a dry problem. I need moisturizer every night, at a minimum, and usually every time I wash my hands at night, too. Aveen Baby is what I now use. Note: Aveeno has other moisturizing creams as well. They don't work for me. "Baby" is the winner. I still have to use it constantly though; it doesn't "heal" my hands permanently - nothing seems to do that - but it helps them a little at a time, which is better than anything else out there that I've found - and I have tried lotion that my doctor suggested - but Aveeno Baby is better than that. I'm also not the only fan of this; I have offered it to other adults who *marveled* at it, no joke.

Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort Moisturizing Lotion, Lavender & Vanilla, 18 Oz. is not just for babies! I use it on my children and myself. I absolutely love the lavender smell. It’s very good to the nose. I may be impartial because I like lavender in general. I can’t speak to the “calming” factor never found that to work because of what’s in the lotion or because the baby is getting a nice relaxing massage. Could be the effects of both. The 18oz bottle is pretty tall and should last a long time if it’s for a baby whom you would bathe a couple times a week at most.

I received the Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort Moisturizing Lotion, Lavender & Vanilla in the 18 ounce size as a gift. I was looking forward to trying this baby product out on me. If it is made for a baby and their so delicate skin, imagine how gentle it would be for any person, any age. Our skin is so very important and how we treat it is how it will repay us back, many times over. I have purchased many Aveeno products in my lifetime, loved them all. Especially in the harsh winter months during flu and cold season we wash our hands frequently. I must say this product did not disappoint in any way. First is the gentle smell, and yes it is calming. I suffer with headaches, it was a pleasant smell. I also liked the light feeling on my skin, and how well it put moisture back into my sore winter hands. This product is wonderful for anyone of any age.

Aveeno Baby eighteen fluid ounce bottle comes with a plastic protective film to prevent opening in the store. It is recommended by pediatricians and is a product of Johnson and Johnson. I look for dimethicone in lotions because of the way it feels on the skin. Also included, Aveeno Baby contains colloidal oatmeal a process of finely milling the oatmeal and suspending it in water to create a natural healing medication for the skin. Then used as a natural medication to treat itchy, dry or minor skin irritations. For example, diaper rash or skin burns from radiation therapy. The fragrance is lavender and vanilla but, it does not smell like either to me. It is very light and appropriate for a newborn. Aveeno Baby is not only great for baby but also, for the entire family including mom, siblings and seniors. Although it is true, I received this product at no charge to me from the Spark Reviewer Program, I love the silky, powdery feel, the gentle, appropriate scent and the hands free pump!

When I babysit my sister's twins, this stuff works great after a nighttime bath... Their skin is super soft afterwards and my hands feel great and smell great too!! I like to use this is the am on my hands and face, and for having sensitive dry skin, this moisturises and replenishes it well with no burning or itching.

Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort Moisturizing Lotion has a really nice lavender and vanilla scent. It helps protects delicate skin and moisturizes for 24 hours. This moisturizer is specially formulated for babies. The formula has soothing oatmeal, dimethicone skin protectant, and relaxing scents of lavender and vanilla. Not only it will help moisturize the baby’s skin, but it works great for gentle massages. Relaxing scents and massages has a lot of benefits to babies. Although the Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort Moisturizing Lotion is advertised for babies, I don’t see why I cannot use it too. I really like this lotion. I love the lavender and vanilla scent, I also really like that it is non-greasy fast-absorbing, hypoallergenic, and free of drying alcohols. I usually use the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion and it works really well for me. I can’t find any other lotion that keeps my skin moisturized as well as Aveeno. Now that I have found Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort Moisturizing Lotion, I have an alternative lotion I can use. Plus it has a really nice lavender and vanilla scent, I won’t have to put on perfume and the scent definitely relaxes you. Because this lotion is hypoallergenic, it is perfect for sensitive skin and good for all ages.

I got the Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort Moisturizing Lotion, Lavender & Vanilla, 8 Oz. for my son. He is not a “baby” anymore, but he is 3. I absolutely love this lotion for him, as it smells wonderful and it is very gentle on his skin. We use it after his bedtime bath and it keeps his skin moisturized and the lavender and vanilla scent is calming. I love that it is pediatrician recommended and it has oatmeal in the ingredients, as I know some other popular lotions have been having problems with questions about their ingredients lately. I trust Aveeno for my son and I used it for him when he was a baby. It is a widely-used Brand, even at the daycare I work at. It is great for kids with dry skin. I also love that it is non-greasy and it absorbs so well! It has a skin protectant which is supposed to last for 24 hours, I would highly recommend Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort Moisturizing Lotion, Lavender & Vanilla! You can use it for yourself, baby, or child!

I use this lotion in the morning and at night. The oat leaves skin moisturized and prevents breakouts. It's gentle enough for the whole family.

I was glad to review Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort Moisturizing Lotion, Lavender & Vanilla for Spark Reviewer because I expected Aveeno to have a quality product. This is a baby lotion. But, I used it as a body lotion for myself. One thing I noticed was there were not as many ingredients as other lotions. However, the active ingredient is 1.2% Dimethicone. Dimethicone is a silicone (manmade) used in many cosmetics and lotions. It traps moisture. But, be aware, it will also trap bacteria, sebum and other impurities. So, if you are prone to acne, keep that in mind. Because of that ingredient, I'm not sure if would want to use it on a baby. I'm a little conflicted about using it on myself. I prefer more natural ingredients and expect more natural ingredients from Aveeno. Having Dimethicone as an ingredient is a minus for me. But, on the positive side, this lotion slides on easily (because of the Dimethicone) and it seems to absorb into the skin quickly. I feel my skin remained soft and moisturized all day. It seemed like I did not have to use a lot to cover my whole body. Also, it smells wonderful. I can see how this scent would be calming. I would not recommend this product as a baby lotion! However, I'd recommend it as an adult body lotion with the caveat about the Dimethicone.

The texture of this lotion is silky and wonderful and it moisturizes well without being at all greasy. The scent is more like baby powder than lavender but still pleasant. Although the smell isn't totally overpowering (about as strong as average Bath & Bodyworks lotion) it's still just a little bit stronger than what I would feel comfortable using on a baby. I used it on my entire body after showering and my skin felt soft all day, even though it's usually very dry.
