Aveeno Maximum Strength Hydrocortisone Anti-Itch Cream, 1 Oz, 6 Pack

My 6 year old daughter had a severe allergic reaction to a children's sunscreen. She is covered in a red rash and pimple like bumps all over her face, upper torso, back, and arms. I WAS using a regular OTC hydrocortisone cream for the past 3 days to no real relief, especially on her face. Well, she was sent home from school today after being in the sun during recess and her whole face was beet red and looked worse than ever before! I applied the same hydrocortisone cream and she was crying in pain and was itching so I decided to try the Aveeno products. I bought this, the aveeno hydrocortisone cream, the Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Creamy Wash, and the Aveeno Baby Eczema Therapy Moisturizing cream. I washed her face with the aveeno wash and applied the aveeno hydrocortisone cream and 2 hours later her face is ALREADY looking almost back to normal, the best it has looked since she got the rash. I am planning on buying the aveeno baby sunscreen to use for my daughter as well once she is healed and able to go back into the sun. I had itching and flare ups with Eczema in the edges of my ears, I would get itchy ears and pain and then crust would build up . I thought maye it was the shampoo, so I switched to Aveeno shampoo and conditioner as it has no sulfate. I have tried another product in the past and it did work, but only took the Eczema away about 75% . I got tired of waiting and treating something that just would not go away. I decided to change the product to Aveeno Anti itch cream, I put this product on when I had a flare up , which was about 1 time a week. . I can honestly said now that the only time I put this product on my ears is when I feel my ears getting dry. I only wish that I would have tried Aveeno right away in the first place. But I am glad that I did purchase this product.

This hydrocortisone cream is for my favorites. Recently, my son started breaking out on his bottom and we weren't sure where it came from. Our only assumption was that he had like would've been bitten by a few ants while playing outside the day before. This Aveeno cream gave him so much relief and it started working very quickly. By day two, the itching had completely subsided. I love that it's odorless, and it works super fast! 10/10!!

I've been using this for awhile now and it really does help. So much that I have switched to everthing Aveeno has in skin care. Still hopeing for underarm care though, lol. The lotion tinted with color for the face is also a great find. I have a little red in my face, it's helping with that also..... Thanks Aveeno for these products!!!! very happy, Jane Hontz

This product provides fast effective relief for itching. I use it after I get a bug bite, poison ivy, minor, skin, burn, or irritation, or even have an eczema flareup. This is very moisturizing and fast acting. This is something that I would describe as having to be a must have in your vehicle, on a hiking trip, or just handy in your purse if you're in Minnesota girl like I am.

I just bought a new tube today (2018) . I have an old tube left over (2004) in the cabinet. I hate the idea of bait and switch marketing. So I reviewed the both of them. Found the only difference was the older tube ingredients were alphabetically ordered vs. the new tube is random. It does everything for me it claims to do.

Out of all of the products I have tried to help with the eczema on my hands, nothing had worked. It was embarrassing for people to see my hands and it was very painful. I was about to give up hope when I went to the local store determined to find something different to try. I found this....Less than 2 hours after I applied it the redness and swelling had gone down. They were not itching and for the first time in months my hands looked somewhat like I had remembered. There was no burning, no pain what so ever. My hands haven't itched at all! It's amazing! Please don't ever stop making this product, you are lifesavers. Thank you!

This is the best cream I have ever used in a lifetime of eczema. Please could you tell me if there are any stockists in the UK so that I can avoid being stung by customs duty? Thank you. (I've had to make up a State in order to post this question ~ I actually live in England!)

I've used several Aveeno products in the past and thought the company touting Active Naturals had more natural ingredients. I was very disappointed to read the ingredients today and see that it contains methylparaben (after already using the product a few times) . I will be discarding the tube.

I purchased this product a few months ago for my dermatitis. My dermatologist recommended that I stop using creams that have a lot of water, as water can have a paradoxical effect of causing dryness. I read the ingredients for Aveeno Hydrocortisone and was delighted. Not only was there little water, but the first four ingredients were familiar and highly regarded for skin conditions: aloe, oat kernal extract, oat kernal flour, and oat kernal oil. Yay! All good stuff! Only at the very end of the ingredient list was water. The product was helpful for my condition, and I felt great about using it. Today I bought another tube from the same store. I got home and checked the ingredients. To my surprise, despite having the same name and packaging, the product ingredients have drastically changed! The first four ingredients are now: WATER, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, GLYCERIN, and CETEARETH-20!! Forms of oat are relegated much further down the list, and aloe is near the bottom. I wish I had read the ingredients at the store, now I have to take it back. Very disappointed. Despite the hoopla about oats and aloe, this new formulation displaces those ingredients with water and alchohol. Bait and switch.
