I will not use any other sunscreen on my face. My skin is fair and I'm prone to burn easily. With this I don't have to worry about going out in the sun. Also, since using my age spots are fading. You just can't go wrong with this product.
Such an amazing product! This sunscreen blends so well, no weird residue like others I have tried. In the summer I use this stand alone, no other foundation needed. I absolutely love this product. And as a person with severe sensitive skin, I have no issue with this product at all. Love!! So glad I found this brand.
Best mineral sunscreen I have ever used. Not think and goes on effortlessly. The blend is amazing too. This is my go to sunscreen for all activities and it's easy to reapply as needed throughout the day. I highly recommend. I'm olive toned skin and it does not leave me looking white. I love this sunscreen!
First thing I have to say, people, you need to rub it in first before you take pictures and post them. Not sure what people are thinking by just leaving it sit on top of their skin and not rub it in. I don't think you would put white non-tinted sunscreen on your face, not rub it in, and walk around like that. Anyway I was a fan of the original formula and was skeptic of this one, however I like this one even more! I get so many compliments on my skin because of this stuff, and the glow it gives me. Not to mention it's got good ingredients not toxic chemicals that I'm spreading all over my face. I love the shimmer, and wear it no matter what I'm doing, every day, whether I'm going to the beach or not. I do tan easily, my face is lighter than the rest of me because I wear a hat when I'm in the sun, so this balances it out with my natural skin tone. I wouldn't want to live without this product because of how good it makes my skin look! I use a brush to apply and it blends in nicely. In the picture I posted, Avene multi-defense tinted is the only thing I have on my face. I also prefer this formula even though I liked the original formula. This one isn't so runny and doesn't rub off so easily on things like the first one did.
smooth, lightly tinted cream/oil. I use this as a foundation when I am outside hiking or working outdoors, because it is heavier and seems to give my skin protection. Easy to apply. I do prefer the “old” version of the sunscreen cream, it was thicker and less “oily”. But this one is very good. It does the trick of protecting and giving a bit of coverage which is most important to me. I will continue to use during the cold months.
This product is great except that I have found it to "pill" on my skin.
I loved the old formulation. This new one has a weird orange color and the consistency is not as silky as the last ine
The product separated quickly so the texture is really weird. Also it has a really prominent white cast. I won't be buying again.
The previous iteration of this product, the solaire sunscreen, was hands down the best sunscreen I had ever used. It was amazing on my oily, sensitive skin and I recommended it to everyone I knew who had trouble finding a sunscreen their skin could tolerate. I was disappointed when I saw they had changed the formula and were now charging the same price for less product, but I held on to hope that the formula hadn't been changed. Unfortunately it has, and now it sits heavy and sticky on my face. I should have known once I saw that the brand changed their bottle from 50mL to 40mL without altering the price point that they would take some cost cutting measures for the formula too. I guess the search for the perfect sunscreen will now resume. Such a shame.
I never leave reviews on things but I felt compelled to write one here. I was using the Solaire UV for my acne prone skin. I used it for two years. It was incredible, especially after finding something that works. I tried this new formula and the next day I had cystic acne on my cheek. Listen - this may work for some people. I'm not knocking the product. BUT. If you were using the old formula because you get acne or have sensitive skin, I suggest you check the new formula on an INCI decoder to see if you have an issue or sensitivity with any of the new ingredients, which also tells the comedogenic rating. Again - I'm not saying this is a horrible product. I'm saying that if you have acne, this is probably not the sunscreen for you. So sorry to see the old formula be discontinued…
