[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this laminate film to cover and protect the labels on my hand made bath and body products. I use the Durable White Film labels for my products. It is waterproof but the labels needed a bit more protection from constant use and water. It looks like the Clear Laminating Sheets are the answer, and exactly what I needed to provide that extra protection. I really like how clear it is and how it does not cloud the view of the labels at all. I haven't been using it long , but so far so good.
I usually buy a couple of the 50 sheet laminate packs a year in preparation for Halloween. The product looks to be updated from what it was with blue lines instead of red and the backing is a little less stiff making for easier application.
I like buying these laminating sheets to save certain documents from getting ruined
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These laminate sheets are the best quality for my small sticker business. They are very easy to use with my laminator on a cold setting. These help me produce high quality stickers!
I also love these sheets. I have used them on cardstock printed recipe cards, covering fancy printed paper then apply to boxes, covering printed labels to apply to storage containers and many other items. Keeps everything looking neat and tidy. Perfect weight for projects that require flex.
I love this product but there are two different manufactueres that you have to watch out for. The ones I receive that have a sticker that says made is US is a lower quality that is thinner and spottier. The paper feels visibly thinner and whiter. The packs that say made in Mexico are a slightly yellow tint and always of higher quality. I don't know why and I ordered multiple through walmart and received a mixed batch from both US and Mexico. I am returning all the US ones. These work great and should be very glossy/clear.
Attaches nicely to documents. However, using an entire sheet to laminate a paper card (health insurance, frequent-flyer card, etc) is a waste. There is a strip at the top of the sheet you can pull off that helps you peel off the rest of the backing when applying to document. However, if you cut to size, and don't include the peel strip, you won't be able to separate the backing from the plastic. No amount of fingernailing, or even using an Xacto blade, will let you wedge into the backing to peel it off. I really got these to laminate paper cards that stay in my wallet (I'm a guy, so the wallet in in my back pocket, not inside a purse). Without the peel strip, the backing is nearly impossible to remove. Next time, and since I like this product's quality, I'll check if they make wallet card-size laminating sheets.
I like the price and availability. The only issue is they have two different versions, one definitely not as good as the other and unless you open the box first you might get the bad one. The difference is the rigidity of the material on the one with a plastic release liner. The red ink on the liner also comes off and gets on the clear laminate when you're applying it. The material with the paper liner has a more flexible material that is easier to apply and does not have the issue with the red coming off the liner. Not sure why they are shipping two versions but its frustrating having to sort through it all the time.
never got it
Its pretty much a square piece of contact paper. I expected something sturdy, not something I could have achieved by covering my paper with packing tape. Not worth buying.
