Avia Men's Quickstep Strap Wide Width Walking Shoes (4E Available)

This is my third pair. My original pair for yard work lasted for years. Currently I have one pair for yard work and my second pair for platform peddles on my road bicycle. (I could have gotten by with just the one pair for both uses, but they are so cheap the pristine bike pair stays in my car with the bicycle.) I have the wide version of 13 size which are loose, but I prefer them that way for my purposes - I don't use them for athletics, except for the biking as I need the looser fit. The Velcro closures are super functional and comfortable. I have inserts in my other sports shoes, but the inserts in these shoes hold up well and they are surprisingly cushy without being mushy - really surprising at this price point. The overall stiffness of the leather body is similar to a work shoe, but still very comfortable - no rubbing. Finally the sole is stiff, sturdy, but again comfortable. The soles on my original pair did fail after many years of yardwork, but that was to be expected for this type of shoe not having a Vibram type sole. Another bonus is that the tread does not pick up mud like a typical hiking boot or running shoe. In summary its a great outdoor shoe, comfortable and cheap - at least it was before tariffs.

Brother-in-law has been wearing the Avia Men's Quickstep Strap Wide Width Walking Shoes for years and I just replaced them for him. He says they are comfortable and very supportive for an 82 year old! Hope in another few years they will still be a brand that Walmart carries.

Very comfortable shoes to wear when you are on your feet all day. The wide toe-box allows your toes to spread out and not press against the side of the shoe causing foot problems. The Velcro closure is quick and adjustable to any width each time you wear the shoes. No longer do my shoelaces become untied and drag on the wet ground.

I purchased these shoes for my 95 yr old father. He needs support, something easy to put on and secure on his feet. He seemed to like these shoes very well. He's had them for a little while now and he's still think that they were a great shoe choice. He has a wider foot and their standard wide fit him very well. Yes, I would recommend these shoes.

My son walks on his toes, and these shoes are the only ones that fit his foot comfortably. He has worn this brand and style for about 5 years now. He has very wide feet, and he walks really high on his toes so the soles get a good workout. I would recommend these shoes for anyone who has a wide foot. He says they are very comfortable.

Just received them so can't comment on long term usage. Too tight where the feet meet the toes but that's kind of my fault. I know extra wide fits me better. I was just letting my cheap gene control my purchase at the time. I'll keep them and hope they loosen up enough to be tolerable. Size seems to run about normal compared to other shoes. Never had velcro shoes before but doesn't seem to be a problem going forward unless velcro loosens up too much as they are worn.

These shoes have to be one of the best values you'll find. Comfortable, good support and nice looking. I have the same shoes with laces and like them equally. The velcro straps are great. Easy to put on which is why I got them. No laces makes it very convenient.

the velcro pulled away from the shoe itself when attempting to put it on for the first time and when I called to mention it it would have been more of a hassle to return it cuz I had given them as a gift and so between super glue and a staple that's how it was held together

These shoes are not comfortable, the top of my feet were sore and red after I had worn them for the first time, even with socks on and the straps are too small, they need to be longer especially if you have feet that tend to swell up or have to wear an AFO medical braces, Also because the straps are not long they tend to come undone when walking.

I purchased pair of these shoes with laces in the store that said 10 wide. They were narrow like women's medium width shoes and too small. They were so tight I could not get my feet in them without a lot of pain. Ok, so I did not learn my lesson and I decided to try the shoes with Velcro straps. I order 10.5 wide online to have them shipped to me. The shoes are larger than the size 10 from the store. In fact the 10.5 are more like size 11. The biggest problem is the width. The other wide shoes were too narrow. These shoes are like XX-Wide. They do not fit tight on my feet. These are probably the one of the worse quality shoes I have ever purchased. There is not consistency to size and width with this brand. I went down to the store and compared different styles and even though the difference styles were all the same size, the length and width was not consistent between the styles.
