It's been a long trial and error for me trying to find the correct size of sneakers for my troublesome feet. Saw a podiatrist for 6 years and got nowhere. the best part of the office visit was the foot massage done by the all female staff. No matter how much your feet hurt, when these women got a hold of your feet, as rough as they could get, it didn't matter, the massage felt so good, and nothing hurt while it was being done. And in those 6 years, the doctor not even once suggested that I try larger and wider sneakers till I found that magic pair. well in the past I -2 years I've been experimenting with sizes and widths by buying 7 pairs from Walmart. The Avias I had to wait for Walmart to get back in stock. I have been an 11 normal width most of my adult life. guess what? the older one gets, like other body parts, your feet get bigger also. These are 13 x-wide and fit! Unfortunately everything comes with foam or memory foam and I don't care for it. foam doesn't breathe and your feet sweat even more. I get Dr Scholl's odor eaters and so far so good. I'm staying with the 13 x-wides. if I'm going to be on my feet a long time, I have to use moleskin to cover the areas that are easily irritated. I have 2 at that time broken metatarsals. the 5th on both feet. Bone Generators caused unwanted growth on the out-sides of my feet. so the x-wide and sometimes xx-wide and the 13's are good. On the positive side, these Avias I believe were only $25.00. Others I bought weren't so inexpensive. That would be a different brand sold at/by Walmart. So, having foot irritating problems, try out these things first. I'm not a doctor but I have learned how to care for my own feet from watching the Dr I saw for 6 years. Not even one of the problems I have had with my adult feet were ever taken care of by my Podiatrist. I did better on my own. Do you have a walk that is not quite right and cause you pain, yet you're not aware that it's your bone formation or an accident with a foot that didn't heal quite right, try the podiatrist, not helping after 6 months, try it on your own by changing what you wear on your feet. It starts at the bottom (your feet) if they're not right, it'll create a chain reaction up the legs to the ankle, knee and then the hip(s). I wrote all this because while trying out new sizes of sneakers, don't spend a lot of money doing it unless it's absolutely necessary. Larger sizes and widths are not always available when you want them. One last tip, try wearing them at home and save all the packaging. You can always return them depending on where you bought them. Do not tolerate any irritation with any of the sneakers you try. it doesn't go away. if you think it has, it'll be back and worse. This is a true story of what I've been through for decades until now. Thanks to Walmart I've been able to get to a painless walk. Take Care Of Your Feet

This shoe provides a comfortable fit for those of us with wider feet. That allows for a better fit as opposed to having to buy a larger shoe to accommodate a wide foot. I'm a fan of the firmer feel to this shoe as it is designed for hiking versus running. That makes it a little heavier, but also more durable if you happen to be a larger than average person. I have high arches and pair these with Dr Scholls Adapt insoles.

Comfort at a good price.

knoma July 2, 2025

My husband says they fit well. Might have been a little too wide? But overall a very good fit. He says they are comfortable to wear all day at his two jobs. He's had foot problems, so this was essential. I' just like a sturdier material, but of course it was great for the price. We'll see how they hold up.

MOST COMFORTABLE SNEAKER ON THE PLANET !!

Joy March 30, 2026

This is the most comfortable sneaker I ever had in my 48 years on this Earth. My feet swell all the time and this is a perfect fit. They go on easy and the inside is so soft and bouncy. If you thought about buying these what are you waiting for ? Worth every single penny.

Great Running Shoes

MomOf4 February 9, 2026

My husband runs 10 or more miles per day. His expensive running shoes would fall to pieces within a couple months. These cost a fraction of that and last him six months. They work very well for him and are easy to get. I just add them to the grocery order anytime the pair is getting worn. He wears the new pair to run in, uses the old pair for everyday wear, and tosses the old pair from the last switch. He has custom insoles that he puts in, so I'm not 100% sure how the built in support is, but he loves them and I love being able to get them easily and have consistent quality.

Great shoes for less than $40!

Brandon July 13, 2025

I've had these shoes for a few months now and they're super comfortable and have good grip. I went with wide width and the extra room adds to comfy feeling of the shoes. My wife doesn't exactly love the look of them, she says they make me look like an old man. Definitely would buy again

I just purchased another pair to replace the ones I'd purchased a year ago. It's not that the old ones are bad. They're still useful, and I'll use them when I know I'll be doing something that might dirty them up a bit, but felt having a newer pair to wear around for most stuff would be nice. They're great shoes. Fairly stylish, comfortable, and durable, while also being pretty light. As an amputee with a prosthetic leg, that last is important because many durable shoes are really heavy and make my leg swing like a pendulum...😋

Nice looking and good fit, not comfortable to walk

James June 18, 2025

I wanted to like the shoe but it was uncomfortable to walk in. I'm a big guy and I have wide feet. These shoes fit great but it felt like my foot was pitched forward and they made my knees and legs hurt. I've learned that feet are complicated and another person might like the way they feel. I like this brand and have older shoes from Avia that are comfortable. They're may be a breaking in period but I'm a pretty good judge of whether a shoe will break in and consider the material, I don't think they will or need to be broken in. They seem durable but I can't be sure on how long they'll last as a work, walk, or hiking shoe.
