I’m being asked to review these sneakers a 2nd time, so look for my 1st detailed review. I got this 2nd pair in wide for my senior mother. Very supportive for the price. Lots of padding for teachers or nurses, who stand on their feet all day. Good for walkers also. Daily runners may have to pay more for Nikes or Hokas.
I’ve tried on genuine Hoka sneakers which these are dupes of, and in no way are these made with those $175 materials, so if you are a runner on hard concrete, you’d likely have to spend the bucks. That said, if you are a walker or a nurse or a teacher who stands on your feet all day, these stylish sneakers will work for you. They fully support my feet with a good deal of padding. I have high arches and formerly, a case of plantar fasciitis, so I ordered a size up and placed 3/4" orthotics in mine. Still hug my feet without being too snug, and there’s enough room in the toe box. The toe boxes are round with space.
I always have trouble finding shoes that fit me really well. These shoes are absolutely terrific. They feel good and they look good. I’ve used them a few times now and I like them so well I bought three more pairs I run and walk every day so I go through them fairly quickly the price and the quality of these are really good. Another great find from Walmart.
I am overweight have vericose veins and have spurs in my feet I am on my feet 8 hours a day and usually my feet kill me to the point it's hard to stand. once I got these yes my feet still hurt some but way more bearable then my old shoes I HIGHLY recommend these. yes I may have to buy a pair more often but with the relief I get these will always be my go to shoes.
I discovered these sneakers a year ago. . I have since brought 4 pairs, three pairs in the past week. The support and comfort is super great. I wore Skechers, Hoka and New Balance, this brand so far is the best. Angela
After nearly 20 years of not working retail I had to go back due to the down turn in the job market, as a result my “retail feet” no longer existed, lol! I was pleasantly surprised by these shoes because I own 2 pairs of Hokas and these are the same quality or better than those! I highly recommend these and will be buying more colors as they become available.
I bought these for my wife. She will not wear name brand shoes. She abhores overpriced, keeping up with the "whoever is in the headlines" clique. Other than these possibly running maybe a half size small (she wears 6.5, normal, these are 7W) they are excellent tennis shoes. They are well made, they are comfortable, they provide excellent support, they go on and off easily, they are lightweight, and you can feel the soles ,in her words, "squish in a good way" to support her feet. I have bought her Nike, Under Armour, Brooks, Asics, Reeboks, New Balance, Skechers, Reebok, etc. I have never bought her Hoka, as she would leave me if I'd spent that much money on shoes for her or anyone else in the family, so she, nor I, can attest to the similarities to the soles like others here, but from appearances, it looks like Walmart looked to be trying to clone the Hoka style. My wife definitely doesn't buy namebrands or wear clothes to advertise. She hates giving rich corporations free and unsolicited advertising. And, although these are Walmart's Avia brand, she does like the outer appearance. She had tried on the 6.5 in the store and said that they were a little tight, but our Walmart didn't have the size 7 in stock. Online, there was not a regular width 7, so she decided to give the 7 W a try. Immediately after getting them delivered to our door on a Sunday, I put them on her feet, you know, because that's what husbands do for wonderful wives, and she was off for her nightly walk with our youngest daughter. I haven't seen her this happy about a pair of shoes, especially ones that are considered bargain shoes, in a long time. There are good reviews on here, written by the person who purchased these shoes, but how many times have you ever seen a husband writing a good review about a pair of shoes for his wife? That's how good these shoes are. For the online price I paid, that's a big win. My wife is on her feet all day long and walks an average of 15 miles with her job daily. These high cushioned shoes, yet not making her feel off balanced, will keep her feet comfortable for those long days on her feet
These Avia Women’s Comfort Performance Sneakers look really nice, especially for the price. They have a clean, simple style that pairs well with casual outfits, and they’re perfect for throwing on when I’m heading out to run errands. In terms of feel, they’re a bit firm underfoot and don’t offer much in the way of cushioning or arch support. For me, that’s not a dealbreaker—I just use a good insole with added support and comfort, which makes a big difference. I also plan to spray them with a waterproof protectant to help them hold up better. Overall, they’re an attractive, affordable sneaker. As long as you’re okay adding your own insoles, they’re a great option for everyday wear.
The only thing that concerns me is if you look straight down from above, the bottom of the sole is wider than where your actual foot is and if you already have problems with tripping or hitting one foot into the other while ambulating then this could be a worse option, I have a little bit of tripping issues so I'll have to be careful but the cushioning is very nice and makes standing in the kitchen for hours on hard floors. less stressful on my ankles and knees.
Good looking shoes that seem well made for the price. Has a lot of good cushioning in heel along with arch support. Knocked 2 stars off because for some reason I lose feeling in my toes. Toe box seems a bit tight and wish it had more room up front. Can’t return which is a shame because I probably won’t be wearing them.
