I can tell by the weight of the sneaker and insole thickness that it will be a casual sneaker that won't offer a good amount of support for my ankles, feet and knees for distance walking. However for a gym class or weight lifting, they will work perfectly. I understand why quality means higher cost so it makes sense.
Super comfortable. I had foot surgery years ago and hadn't had any luck with finding a shoe that didn't make my foot hurt until I found these. They actually relieved my foot pain. The orange color is really pretty, not too bright, more of a soft sherbert orange. I was so pleased with these shoes that I ordered the other two colors that were also on sale. The mint green color is very summery and fun and the black pair is also very pleasing. They are well made and hold up well to every day wearing. I highly recommend these shoes and would definitely purchase them again.
Avia Women's Gel Sneakers are amazing! I wore them for walking 10k steps and more, and they held up beautifully. The gel cushioning makes every step comfortable, and the wide width option fits perfectly. Durable, supportive, and great for everyday wear — highly recommend!
I own 7 pairs of Avia athletic shoes bought thru Walmart in the past 2 years. Typically the reduced price items are off-season but they are the same Avia shoes. In the past I bought Avia at Macy's and DSW so I know the brand. I am 5' tall which really affects a shoe's height fitting me correctly (this shoe hits me just below my ankle bone so it doesn't push up against the bone and is comfortable to wear). This brand is a go-to for me. Another comment: I go up a half size for winter shoes so that they fit properly when wearing socks. I walk 2 miles every day and have noticed no joint or foot pain from this shoe. I'll keep buying this item even if I don't need them!
I can't believe that I got these on clearance. They came quickly and exactly how I hoped. I have never worn the brand AVIA before. They were a bit large but not enough that an insert couldn't solve. Only wore once but while I had them on they were very comfortable and supportive.
my granddaughter has wide feet. shes 5 4 160 lbs and her foot is more of a 9 by inches shoe chart and wide, but shoes run, small. (her moms a 10 her dads a 12, so ya know ... the 10 wide fits perfect with sicks even. feel comfortable, bright colors. she loves them.
These run very large! If you have normal or slim feet go down a half a size! I got them on sale so they were sold out by the time I got them so I just got an extra gel insert which made them fit better and made them extra comfy!! I walked all over Europe in them! But I do recommend getting an extra insole for comfort as I don't think they would have been as comfy otherwise.
I'm sick and tired of paying a TON of money for sport shoes that claim they are great quality only to use them up in 1 year or less and throw them away. These sport shoes are very comfortable and a great value, even if they don't last a year at least I didn't have to pay $100 for them. I love the bright colors too.
I thought I was getting lucky to get these half price. They fit just a tad bit loose in length. The bad part is after I wore them a cpuple of times, the left shoe developed a sharpness in the upper heel area and I have to wear a bandaid on my heel to wear them now. It actually seems to be getting worse. And because I wore them outside and they no longer look clean and new, I'm stuck with them. So instead of getting a very good deal, I wasted my money.
Ordered them in July and they're already torn up. I bought them as a cheap emergency pair until I could afford better ones and they couldn't withstand my daily workout routine. They look nice but unfortunately for my feet there was very little support and I felt foot strain.
