I like that they took out the phosphoric acid (which causes injury to the kidneys directly) and high fructose corn syrup, which causes inc. uric acid and leads to metabolic syndrome. Need better sugar substitutes that don't injure the body though. I have a small amt. (often diluted with water/ice) with a nutritious whole food meal (not junk food) to improve nutrition, reduce the sugar substitutes and overall calories of the meal . I try not to take diet soda alone b/c it triggers hunger for me--(sweet but no calories, leaving me unsatisfied). Thus, increasing food intake and weight gain.
this brand of root beer has been around since I was a child. in the summer time we used to pull into a Stewart's Drive In. you'd get the glass mug of root beer and the food you ordered that was brought to the car on a tray and hung from the car window that was cranked down about 60%. No such places exist anymore. Hey! anybody else think this is a good idea,..... again? Ever see Happy Days? As a child it was a lot of fun eating in the car. That was until someone dropped or knocked something over 😋🤪😱
It pretty much tastes just like normal root beer, which I appreciate. Most things that are sugar free lose their flavor as well, and we shouldn't have to miss out on the flavor just because we need to have a sugar free diet. If you're trying to cut back on sugar but still want a classic soda taste, this is a great choice. It's refreshing, satisfying, and a great alternative to the original.
I haven't compared it, side-by-side, to the sugared version, but it tastes the same to me. You could probably give this root beer to someone and they wouldn't notice that it's a zero sugar.
This is my absolute favorite soda. I like that it's sugar free. I don't buy a too often though because of the price. Sometimes it goes on sale for a $1.69. I'm happy with that. When it's up over $2 a bottle I don't even bother.
These bottles are more like double at the grocery store. As a kid, I hated diet soda. And I loved grape, orange, and only A%26W root beer--other brands of that flavor to me just weren't as enjoyable to drink. Fast forward to adulthood and the advent of better sweetening technologies, alongside the impetus to lose weight which I never understood as a child, and this stuff is the liquid version of the food of the gods. So sweet and tasty. I actually prefer this to the full sugar version, because I don't think the taste is a step down and the light feeling you get compared with a glassful of intense sugar water just keeps me moving better. I'm one to leave this uncovered and out for a while, because I don't love the ultra- extreme carbonation, and I find just a touch of exposure to an ice cube rather than thoroughly chilled delivers a much better taste at near room temperature. To please Walmart's AI, I'm being prompted to mention craving, vanilla, berry flavor and tacos. Go figure!
With a single cup vanilla ice cream, this makes a delicious 100 calorie dessert. Safer for kidneys than other dark sodas while water is the best choice. Most expensive diet root beer, but the only choice .
l love the product because it has no sugar or caffeine in it and taste great but you all were out of stock for at less 4 days. plus you all quit carrying the 6 pack of the 16.9 oz size. The cost of $1.98 per 2 liter is a great price. Hope it stays that low.
I bought this because it was finally on sale, im not paying $3.00 for a 2 l. of pop, so i got it on sale. The first several drinks were really good, it is overly sweet but A %26 W has always been that way, but when i was finished my mouth still had the diet after taste, even after i brushed my teeth and in the middle of the night. I normally drink diet Pepsi or diet Dr. Pepper and they dont do that so its just A%26W. Ill just stick with my regular brands.
I drink AW root beer daily. however I usually buy the AW can zero sugar. The can sems to seal the carbonation much longer than the bottle. A few times I had to buy the bottle because Walmart was out of the 12 can option.
