AXE Body Spray for Men, Essence, 4 Oz, Pack of 4

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm loving Axe EssenceDaily Fragrance! It smells awesome and leaves me fresh all day. I love that it's travel friendly, so it's great to keep in my car. Best of all, my girlfriend loves it. Let's face it... that's what really counts. I will be buying it in the near future and recommend trying it!

Why did you change essence from all day to the 48 fresh I see it has another ingredient which doesn't make it smell nowhere near as good not to impressed with this change I have been wearing essence for years reason asking is in the area where I live this new essence 48 fresh is all they sell now the one on top is the all day fresh the one on bottom is 48th fresh you can see another ingredient

I have been a fan of your body spray for years. I tried them all but the only one I have continued to buy is Essence Body Spray. Unfortunately it seems you have decided to alter the scent of Essence Body Spray and it is terrible. I bought the product, used it and instantly did not like it. Even people commented on the new scent and not in a favorable way. Please change back to the original scent or I will have to try other competitive body sprays in the future. I will not buy Essence 48H again. Very disappointed!!!

I've been using Axe - Essence Body Spray for years. Pretty much since 2004 or so... it has had a consistent quality scent, up until recent. I purchased a dual pack, sprayed it and noticed it had a foul scent. Due to my lack of investigation, I thought it was a defected bottle. So I went back to the store for an exchange. But the exchanged bottle also carried a foul scent. So I thought maybe it was a bad batch and gave it about a month before re-attempting to purchase again. After a few weeks I decided to give it a try and purchased a new bottle, this time from a different store. I discovered the same foul scent. Like it went cheap and full of aerosol chemicals... I immediately returned it, and well, here I am now... apparently Axe changed the classic formula something representing a 24hr scheme ‘upgrade'... THE NEW CHANGE DOES NOT HAVE A GOOD SCENT!! I may just be one customer, but i don't see myself purchasing Axe without the original Essence scent.

The previous scent this product had was far better than the new one. I had been using this particular body spray for more than 15 years. I decided to buy more since I was running low just to find out that they decided to change the scent of it. I feel extremely disappointed.

I've been using axe for nearly 10 years. Bought the new stuff and can't believe I'm considering trying Old Spice or something since the new AXE formula is garbo. Please switch back to the old formula because it smelt great and was super effective. This stuff lasts a couple hours and then leaves me smelling like a Whopper at Burger King.

I've been using Axe Essence Body Spray for years and occasionally receive compliments on the smell. Recently Axe "upgraded" Essence to a 48 hour version that smells very different. I noticed immediately upon use. Instead of the pleasant, masculine "essence," there is a persistent chemical smell. I can't even find the original smell in it anymore because it's being masked so overwhelmingly by the chemical smell. This change is a mistake and I see from other reviewers that I'm not the only one to notice. Please bring back the original formula. I'd rather smell good for 24 hours than stink like chemicals for 48 hours. Until then, I'm finished with Axe Essence. Thanks!

Have been using Axe Essence (the original one) for YEARS, everywhere I went girls asked what it was and would run over to hug me just to smell me! They loved it! Always got compliments. now with this ‘new' formula it's awful!! Completely different and harsh chemical smell. No exaggeration just last night a girl that would always run over to smell me said, “What is that? You don't smell the same anymore!” She hated it. it really does have an awful smell and today I threw away both cans I recently purchased and started this research. It appears I'm not alone in asking, “Axe, what the heck did you do?!” please bring back the original formula before you lose all of us diehard fans forever and the women that loved it! Until then I will not be purchasing any more of this chemical smelling junk.

I been a loyal axe body spray user since they first came out. There wasnt many scents to choose from. Essence was the first one I used and I loved it. I tried others with much disappointment, so I always came back to essence. Now it's 2020, new formula change, 48 hour protection. I hate the new scent, IT IS NOTHING LIKE THE OLD SCENT. I bought a double pack and regret it. I will not be buying axe anymore as this I believe the scent change was a penny pinching decision not because they wanted to improve it.

I have been using axe since middle school and I am almost 30! The essence body spray worked so well with my body chemistry that everyone who knew me could tell I had just walked down the hallway. Had so many compliments over the years when I wore it. Sad to leave the axe family for a competitor. Other friends of mine feel the same way!
