Azden WMS-PRO - Microphone system

I purchased the Azden WMS-PRO wireless microphone system with intention of using it as a laptop PC microphone. Unfortunately this system does not deliver sufficient level to drive the PC. I tested this microphone system on a couple of standard laptop computers. The lavalier microphone does not provide sufficient level to pass the microphone sound test. The handheld microphone provides more level but barely passes the PC sound test. This system may be satisfactory in a video camera application. I believe the product description should clearly state that it is not intended for PC applications. I plan to go ahead and use this system with an external amplifier connected between the microphone system and my PC.

This is a light duty setup. I was pleased with how well it worked right out of the box, but I did have to modify the mounting foot to fit my Canon video camera. The velcro pad that comes with it are only good for a short time since the receiver has a tendency to come unstuck with movement. The sound quality is what you would expect for the money spent. It is a definite improvement from a camera mounted microphone.
