Well, I read some of the negative comments on the bracelet, clearly some buffoons can't read basic instructions - the compass DOES work, but as anyone with a modicum of intelligence knows, it's affected by metal, so DON'T use it when the clasp is connected, as the scraper/saw WILL affect it! And on that topic, the flint rod stays securely in it's recess when being struck against the scraper, which DOES start a fire, which of course requires something for the sparks to ignite, but hey, if you're out in the woods without such stuff, you probably shouldn't be allowed out of a house without supervision. And, the whistle DOES work well (tested and can be heard 1km away), but again, if you're deep in a forest, miles away from anyone, you were probably ill-prepared anyway. The paracord supported a combined weight of 2 fully grown male adults, you can't ask for much more than that, and no, you can't use the saw to build a log cabin, but it'll cut the paracord.

I bought these for me and my partner, we have a camper van, but we like to go hiking a lot.I thought this would make a cute little stocking filler Christmas present with a few other bits.The compass works great, the flint is covered in a safe black thick layer, it does work you just need to scrape this off.We have these in our camper van ready and cannot wait to use it on our next hike to try and avoid using our phones so much and get back to nature <3

Bought this product for my brother as a stocking filler but he loves this for walking, you get 2 in a pack so both him and his girlfriend use these and find them very useful with the compass and the flint for overnight walking and camping and having the whistle provides some security, they also look stylish. Great little gift for walkers.

Does what it's designed for

These braclets are a great idea my daughter is going camping with school and most of the stuff she needs is all on her wrist and as you get a pack is a great bonus.

My son and his friend loved these bracelets. They are age 9 and 10. They spent most of the evening getting a Spark and blowing the whistle! Very good value.

My son used this for scouts camp and loved it. I had scout leaders asking me where I got it from. Highly recommend for secondary school & older campers.

I liked how it was useful in survival situations but I would recommend some improvements.A few would be fixing the compass because it wasn't working and making it easier to use the flint and steel.
