I have purchased many car seats due to the fact I was a childcare provider for many years. I think this is one of my favorite car seats I've ever purchased.
Was not very easy to install, which took me about 20 minutes. and it isn't very "slim" , or I expected it to be slimer, but it's great quality and looks great, performing as expected and ultimately doing as it's supposed to by keeping the grand baby safe and sound. went with the tri colors, I'm impressed overall .. I give it a 10
The description said "3 way", as with the 2 prior cancelled orders, I assumed it was also an eventual booster seat. It is not. But my granddaughter likes the seat, and my great grandson appears to be quite comfortable. She said it is very light and easy to use.
Be aware that this Slim Fit car seat needs to be for a slim kid and parent with slim hands! Luckily, our granddaughter is a skinny and a tiny 3 year year old (29 lbs) and its snug. I have a hard time fitting my hand down to get the metal prong fasteners that latch in. I even bought the social media magnet buddies to hold the prongs up on the side to try and make getting her buckled up easier. The straps get twisted easily and if you don't loosen up the straps evenly then its a pain to get them pulled tight, safely. You basically have to get your child out and pull the straps all the way down and then try to pull them evenly, if you mess them up. I bought this slim car seat for my new Subaru Outback hoping I could fit an infant seat, booster seat and slim car seat in the back. That was a failure but not the car seats fault. I haul my 3 grandkids around during the day is why I got it after the surprise new grandbaby. Luckily I have a full set of car seats for my truck. Just keep in mind that this car seat looks nice but its a pain to get your knuckles down in the seat to grab the seat prongs with a skinny kid! The straps always get out of whack when I'm loading up the kids in the rain as well. Get a full size car seat if at all possible! fyi to Subaru owners...the tan and gray seat matches the tan and gray leather interior perfectly.
Too narrow at the very top, kind of strange setup. using as booster with harness for my three year old - we have a Diono which is so comfy but this car seat has bulky sides and hardly any seat or head movement room. We will use it in one of our less commonly used vehicles. It functions at least!
Bought 3 hoping they would work for our needs. These seats didn't fit 3 in the 3rd row like we had hoped. They are adequate but the straps are a nightmare. The straps continue to get twisted and since the seats are narrow- the straps are hard to get at once the child is in the seat. If there had been time before our trip,I would have definitely returned them.
If you need a quick and cheap product to protect your child, this is the car seat for you. However it's not the most comfortable and the straps can be tricky to get properly adjusted on a young toddler. We have it in the rear-facing position and it does surround our son well, but there's not really a way to anchor the seat's head. As a result, it jostles from side to side more than other brands.
i like that it will keep any child protected if ever in a wreck but definitely not the car seat to go with if your kid is big for their age. got this car seat in a pinch after a car accident and our other one was deemed no good. pur son is 16 months old but is big for his age and he definitely is very much snug in this seat. when they say slim they mean slim. its hard to get him buckled becuase theres no room to manuver so we're lifting his legs trying to get the crotch buckles, we have to sit him up just to get the arm straps on him. its definitely an inconvenience of a car seat. as soon as we get the pay out from the insurance company we're buying the same car seat he had before the crash.
At first glance the carseat looks great. However, the straps are constantly twist and have to be fixed and the buckle between their legs is too far back so its always a struggle trying to buckle my son in. I have pinched his legs a few times trying to fasten it and he's only 28 pounds. The buckle needs to be placed closer to the front of the seat and it needs to be longer. Do not waste your money.
It doesn't fit well in my car, the straps get twisted so easily, and it's extremely hard to tighten. I'm not even sure how safe it is. I really dislike this car seat, but I didn't realize how bad it was until after I couldn't return it. I would not buy this car seat again.
