1st off, it's cheese. 2nd, it's deliscious cheese. Get them out of their glorious wrappings and share half with a dog. Even make it a ritual to have just 1 daily. They'll give more time to love them. Also, a really cool project you can do and I can't fully verify if it works. I just saw a Youtube video for it... Take the wax covering and scrunch it up around something being used for a wick. I'm not sure that is all of the directions. You will feel like a professional and creative recycler then!
I originally wanted to buy the full fat babybels but they were out of stock, so I opted for these lower fat option and I'll tell you, They are very delicious! I'm not mad at my decision at all!! For me what I like to do with either version of the cheese is to let them sit out for about 20 minutes, just to get them more room temperature which makes the babybels such a smooth and creamy bite of deliciousness!!
There is something so charmingly efficient about these petite wax sealed cheeses. They are consistently smooth, subtly tangy, and delightfully portioned for an adult lunch. My husband enjoys three each day when he’s away at work. I wrap them in parchment and tuck them into a reusable container with grapes and almonds. it feels civilized. They hold their shape well, even in a packed lunch, and the individual wrappers are both nostalgic and practical. I keep a bowl chilled in the fridge and an unopened net bag in the butter drawer as backup. And yes, there is a labeled jar for the wax peels in the pantry.
My grandson comes over every 2 or 3 weeks and spends a couple nights with me to help with chores and visit. He loves these Babybel cheeses with Slim Jim’s for a snack and since he eats more often than I’m hungry, I keep them on hand for him. He’s always been a cheese-lover and is particularly fond of Babybel.
This cheese may be more on the expensive side but definitely worth it for the quality and taste, however I don't know who needs to hear this but you take the red wax off before eating lol, I've seen tiktoks of people eating it, it might look fancy and delicious but please don't eat it, you peel it off and enjoy the creamy rich flavor of the cheese inside, perfect for a snack, and my kid loves it.
These are the best babybel cheeses. The texture is a little less rich than the originals - making it perfect for a healthy snack. I love the slightly firmer texture and bite. My kids and I go through these so fast we have to use self control when they're here. lol! I add them to my childrens' plates and school lunches so easily. Who doesn't love peeling the wax? We prefer these to the average cheese stick in taste.
I am already a fan of the regular so I figured I would try these new ones out. I wouldn’t say there is a drastic flavor difference from the original. They are still salty and creamy and flavorful. My kids really liked these. I do think they are a bit pricey but they taste good.
Babybel has some of the best snacking cheeses. I have one or two everyday. The white cheddar flavor is so good and just melts in your mouth. We likw to make fried cheese wheels and either eat them with our favorite dip, or put one on top of our favorite homemade burger. To fry a Babybel, just unwrap, dust with cornstarch and wipe off the excess. Dip lightly in egg and roll in panko bread crumbs. Fry at 350° for just a minute or so on each side or until nicely golden brown. Drain on a paper towel, let cool to a safe temperature, because the cheese inside will be HOT, dip, and eat, or put it on top of your homemade burger, smash down, top with your favorite hamburger toppings, bun, and enjoy!
They did something to this cheese. It is not called light anymore. It’s called reduced fat. It does not taste like the last batch I got a month or so ago. very sad! So either we got a bad batch or they changed the formulation because it is not creamy. It’s hard. It is not good anymore so pay attention to the label if it doesn’t say light on it. It’s probably the new formula.
this product tasyed like rubber I have had other varieties in the past and they were fine I ate part of two of these. one was my first, i only had two small bites i tried a second on another day and it was the same i ate about half, spit some out, tossed out the remainder in the trash and tossed the rest of the bag in the trash as well
