Nice set for starting out
The F7A ran really smoothly and had no problems going over turnouts. The freight car and the gondola could not navigate around curves that are less than 8 1/2” radius. Better to run on curves that are 9 3/4” or more. The controller made it possible to run loco at slow speed. Good quality except 1 set of caboose wheels were loose.

Solid train set, with parental supervision
This is a solid train set for the price. It has small parts so you should supervise young kids. As long as you correctly assemble the track and make sure all the sliders are connected and that the tracks feel smooth when you run your finger over the joints, you're all set. The train will just run and run and your kids will love it.

The only thing I find odd is the engine sits so low on the tracks that it scrapes along the tracks. The train cars sit higher and don't do this.
