The track was very easy to put together. The train seemed to be very well made.

Great grandson loved it

The locomotive started smoking after 3rd use. A little smoke. Hasn't really worked after that. Pretty expensive for that to happen. Assembly was easy but disappointed.

Bachmann trains are my go to but this one slipped past quality control. The power pack isn't working as it should. I thought it was the track so I bought cleaning supplies to fix the problem then didn't maintenance on the train. All to no avail. I'd bought 2 train sets so I finally switched the power supply and just like that I've got running stock. The power supply is costly or I'd have just bought another one. Can't return as it past the return date. Overall I still trust Bachmann but I am a little disappointed this one got through the testers. I own 15 sets. N and HO and this is the first issue with this brand. I recommend and do advise checking it out before the return date.

The track is a molded plastic, and is not completely level/flat. While the train is in operation you can watch the train moving up and down on the track. This will at times cause some of the cars to come loose. Also the train's hitch was defective right out of the box. We unfortunately had to return this.

none get the order

I had an extremely difficult time getting all the wheels of each train car lined up onto the tracks. Even more difficult was to get each car connected to each other with the very tiny coupler parts. If I got the wheels lined up, I couldn't get the train cars to connect with knocking a wheels off. Connecting the cars was harder than lining up the wheels. I returned the product to Walmart. Their return policy was excellent.
