Most of the other bed rails that i've tried on the market are really just for show. The backrack bed side rails are designed to be used and the install was fairly easy even with the center bolt, i guess optional, which has you drill through the top of the bed. I did opt to use the bolt requiring me to put a hole in my new truck but it was easy and really locks these rails down. You can pull on the rails and the don't budge. I recently used them to secure a load with ratchet straps and they worked as expected.
Great job ??????????????
You get what you pay for, these are beefy, look cool and worth the money, real quality. They are built so strong I mounted my headache rack to the bed rails and it worked out great, never had to drill one hole in my truck. If you want a strong bed rail that will last the life of your truck, these are the ones for you!
I'm very happy with the results when it come to tie something down it don't matter the size of it ,by using the straps they don't slide ,they stay in there place.
Looks good on the truck. I haven't had it in use long enough to determine longevity. Easy to order, delivered on time and correctly. Very good experience with salesman on phone. Highly recommend Real Truck for future purchases and to others.
Sturdy...bed rails to tie off cargo I fabricated a couple bolt covers to make it appear pretty Box arrived beat to death and only by chance were the bolts and linkage package inside .
The quality of the rails are very good I called up back rack to find out if I could install them with my backflip cover I also have the plastic rails on top of my bed what a job it was I had to cut the plastic rails back in order for it to fit wasn't happy with the fitment I had a readjust the screws the bolts very little instructions the product is very well built though but everything else nothing but aggravation
Rails are sturdy and look great from outside the truck but their mounting system leaves a lot to be desired. For starters the vertical bolts are really too short if you are mounting the rails atop of bed caps. By the time you get the lock washer on you have at most one thread left to apply the bolt which is really insufficient to he sure you aren't cross threading it. And mind you you are working up in some really tight areas with doesn't help if you don't have 8” long skinny fingers. Once installed your''re left with a huge nut and bolt protruding inward from each bed stake socket, which, is going to be an UGLY mismatch against a black spray in liner. And I assume you would have to drill holes in a drop in liner to accommodate these new protruding bolts. Additionally, they WILL damage or mar the surfaces of anything you happen to care about placed in the bed that rubs against the. And if course they can catch upon and rip open any bagged materials ;such as fertilizer) while unloading dumping the material into the bed of your truck. And while I'm at it, the mounting plates for the companion headache rack I also ordered are too long to fit under the rack before hitting the first leg if the rail. (And this is an 8' bed.) So i'm just going to end up using the headache rack without the base plates and hope the baseplate of the bedrails is sturdy enough to provide the support. It things didn't look so cool they'd have gotten a 1 star review. I dropped a lot of cash on this and frankly expected better. The manufacturer needs to take to heart this review and get back to the drawing board.
front bolt is very unsightly, actually ugly. If you are not buying the optional headache rack the bolt and nut stick up in the air. Should supply a bolt cap of some kind. Hell I would even buy one if offered
PRODUCT-These rails have been good so far. In service about a month. Ratchet straps fouled the stickers, but I don't care about that. It's a work truck. 2" straps pull a lot and these rails are not failing. SHIPPING-Not impressed with the method of shipping. Rails arrived in a damaged box. 68 pounds must be too heavy for the wimps at UPS to handle without tearing up the box. Box was delayed because they had to retape a torn corner of the cardboard. The hardware pack had fallen out and no one put it back. Had to file a clam for damage and send photos etc. PITA! Real truck tried hard to resolve. Manufacturer should secure the hardware kit better. Bad packaging system. UPS, dismal as usual since they fumbled by not being careful.
