BACKRACK by RealTruck Louvered Rack Frame Only Black, No Drill |12900| Compatible with 2019-2024 Chevy/GMC Silverado/Sierra 1500; 2008-2019 & 2022-2024 Toyota Tundra; 2009-2024 Ford F-150 & Others

I purchased the RealTruck Louvered Headache Rack over the 2024 Black Friday weekend after waiting a few months to sort out my anticipated needs with a mint/like-new, second-hand, extended cab, 2012 Toyota Tundra SR. This truck was purchased for work and is being built for that purpose. I purchased the rack and the Retrax Pro MX Retractable Tonneau Cover for several hundred dollars off MSRP due to the Black Friday sale. That was very appreciated. It had been my hope to purchase the Retrax XR w/T-Slot rails along with the headache rack, but alas, the T-Slot rails are not compatible with the headache rack. Too bad! Real quick the pros and (maybe) cons of the Backrack Louvered Headache Rack: Pros: - Easy installation - Works as intended - Looks fantastic - Provides a degree of sun protection to the interior of the vehicle - Provides a degree of privacy screening - harder to see into the back compartment of the vehicle through the rear window with the louvered rack installed - Excellent customer support Cons: - The model I purchased for my truck did not come with installation instructions and there were none online, either from RealTruck or surprisingly, by private owners, at least on YouTube. I had to contact customer support and then due to weekend hours, play internet tag with them to get everything clarified. But with that said, again, RealTruck customer support is EXCELLENT!!! - This headache rack was made in Canada. Nothing to complain about but I thought everything they made was "Made in U. S. A. " For some of us, that's a thing. - RealTruck components are not cheap. This too isn't a "con" because you get what you pay for but these components may not be in everyone's budget.

For how much the part weighs it should be packed in that box much better. I worked for a trucking company for 30 years customer products get thrown around at a trucking company in a way that you would not believe. With a heavier corrugated box with corrugated cardboard inside to take up the void People would receive their product in a much more professional appearance. Not hanging out of it damaged Box wondering if they should accept it or not?

Great Fit, great quality, but best of all I discovered that the air flow through the back sliding window on my truck is improved. It may not be so for all trucks but with my long bed, dirt, bark leaves and all the debris in the bed of the truck no longer blows in when the sliding rear window is open. The Back Rack is great!

I purchased this Louvered Backrack for my new F350. The rack is built solid and adds to the looks of my truck. It will protect my back cab window as well as add some security so nobody can get through the sliding window should I need to leave it open during a hot day.

The rack came fast but the mounting is another problem. I'm still waiting on that to show up and has called twice and nobody can tell me anything on why it's taking so long to get it. So far as the rack it is great looks good but need to do way better on the mounting hardware been 3 weeks and still no answer or kit showing up.

The rack does me no good if you don't have the needed parts to install it. Why you selling the rack if you know the adaptor install parts are on back order. . ? I returned the product. .

not a good headache rack hardware is janky and headache rack does not even clear the cab of the truck

Painted over welding wires sticking out all over, uneven paint, delivery box destroyed, causing scrapes and dents. Was a weekend of work to get it right and installed. Too much effort to return, would not recommend.
