Backyard Discovery Belmont Cedar Wood Swing Set, Slide, Play Deck, Rock Wall Ladder

Very well built swingset, my daughter absolutely loves. Simple instructions didn’t take terribly long to put together

Very happy with this purchase! The swing set was packaged well with all parts clearly labelled. The assembly instructions were easy (enough) to follow, and I was able to put this together solo in just about one full day (about 9 hours of actual work time). A few detailed comments and changes I made: (1) the '087' screws that attached pieces 'H6' to the playhouse don't really engage the wood behind very well, so I used left-over '005' nut barrels with '010' bolts (and appropriate washers); I felt this was necessary because the 'H6' pieces are what the handles for the rock ladder attach to; (2) one of the 'H9' bench support pieces split and sheared off; this is such a small pieces, it might make sense to provide a steel backing plate for additional support; (3) the 'M3'+'H5' picnic tarp support doesn't sit true level (it's hangs down at about a 5 degree angle) which is unfortunate; it almost looks like I made a mistake in assembly, which I don't believe I did; being a wood playset, it squeaks and creaks when they are both on the swings, and the ends of the 'H80' ground board actually lift off the ground when they are both swinging! I don't think it's a concern though. All that said - my kids (just shy of 6 years old) absolutely LOVE the swing set. The slide is fantastic (better than other home playsets that I've seen). They eat lunch and snacks at the picnic bench. And they spend hours just swinging as high as they can. It looks great in our backyard. All in all, the finished product looks sharp in our backyard! This was a great purchase and I'm hoping the set lasts for years!

Very happy with the swingset. As previous reviews have stated - the wood will split if you over tighten the screws and/or bolts. As long as you do not overtighten there is no issues at all with the wood. This is absolutely perfect for my 2 and 7 year old daughters! Also recommend treating the wood to add to the longevity.

This is a beautiful swingset and perfect for our two kids plus a friend in our wide but shallow patio. It was delivered super quickly to our door by FedEx (or was it UPS?) and not a carrier or trucking company as we initially thought. One person put it together in about 15 hours over a few days with some help needed from a second person to reposition. This could have been greatly reduced if the flooring and ladder pieces had markers for where to drill (so we didn't have to measure for each board) and if holes for many of the nuts were drilled better (so we didn't have to widen them manually to make the bolts lock completely). But for the price, we are still very happy with this unit and would buy it again.

I wish the quality of the wood was a little better, it seems overly dry and splits easily. but other than that it's well thought out the hardware is quality I really like it. took three of us about 5 hours to put together. two people working while one person got parts in boats and nuts together for the next step.

For the price we spent, I think it was an great buy. The wood split in some areas and the holes weren’t perfectly matched, but we were happy with our purchase considering what we spent on it. It did take us two days to put together though. Overall, it’s held up well with our four kids playing on it daily. :)

This is a great swing set for the price. It took me and someone else seven hours to put togehter but it wasn't too difficult to construct. The reason why I'm not giving it five stars is because it's not as sturdy as I thought it would be. It creaks a lot and my wife who is weighs around 120 was nervous sitting on the swing and bench because of the noise it's making. Other than that, this swing set is beautiful and my daughter absolutely loves it. I'm happy with this swing set and so is my daughter.

Great play set - a few pieces of wood split when being put together, but we got it to still work. Only thing, the description said its for kids ages 3-10. We have a very skinny, lightweight 6 year old girl and when she swings, the fort is very creaky and sways a bit. Everything was put together correctly - just wondering if the age limit should be a little lower.

It's a beautiful set and my son likes it very much! It was a very lengthy process to assemble with 2 very knowledgeable adults. The wood is not that high quality and sturdy. Only small children should get on this otherwise it may break. Adults: don't attempt swinging or sitting on bench. It won't hold you.

Shipping was fast, and the product arrived in good shape! It was easy (if time-consuming) to put together and my toddler was thrilled. My only wish is that it was slightly sturdier for bigger kids. It's perfect for my almost-3-year-old. But I'm a small lady, and I can't sit on the snack bench with him without fear of the boards cracking! That said, the price can't be beat. This will be great for our intended use during the toddler and young elementary years.
