Wow! I was so impressed from the beginning when I received the 4 shipping boxes. Everything was so neatly packed and labeled as to which parts were in which box. This helped in assembling with the easy to follow instructions. The first day was spent putting together all the parts, because most of the long pieces had to be assembled before they could be put together as a pergola. The next day, two neighbors helped me put together the support frame and then everything else was a one man job. I was amazed at the quality of the material and its finish. The precision by which the bolts screwed into the nuts was outstanding. I have never assembled anything with so much accuracy. There was never a time where something didn't fit together perfectly. Since it has been up, I installed a wet rated ceiling fan with light and plan to add additional smaller lights to create a warm atmosphere. We will spend many days and nights in our outdoor retreat. Couldn't be happier.

We couldn't be more happier with our Steel Pergola. We decided to upgrade to steel due to the hot summers here in Texas and the zero maintenance. Assembly was very straight forward and was easy to follow with the instructions provided on the BILT app. You will definitely need 2 people for this job and possibly a 3rd when your ready to attach the top beams to the posts. Very sturdy and well made. The electrical box is a great plus as well. We are extremely happy with our pergola and look forward to enjoying it for years to come.

Everything about the purchase of this pergola was excellent. It arrived exactly as we expected, very neatly labeled and packed well. Putting it together with the help of a couple of neighbors, took four hours or so. Not one screw or bolt or nut was missing. Highly recommend, this company and this product . We like the soft shade so much that we've ordered an extra to keep on hand

This pergola had been out of stock for some time. I had been looking around at other options. Before I decided on something else I checked stock again on this pergola. Am I ever glad I did. It was back in stock and I ordered right away. Arrived in four large, heavy boxes. A little overwhelming to see all the parts. When time to assemble came I followed the BILT app which is a great help. Due to my own bad judgment a couple of parts were damaged. I called Backyard Discovery to place an order for replacement parts and to my surprise they said “things happen and there will be no charge to replace the parts.” The parts arrived very quickly and I was able to complete the build. Definitely need 3 if not 4 people to help at certain points. Great customer service and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks for a great product.

The reviews are spot on!! This pergola is amazing!! My husband and son put it together with some help from one other person in one afternoon. The company has first class cut iner service. I've called several time with questions and each time I was able to talk with a representative very quickly and treated with A+ customer service. Our pergola arrived in 2 weeks in perfect condition.

Excellent product, quality through out. Assembly was straight forward and went off without a hitch. The directions were EXCELLENT. All parts were plainly labeled and the process was easy to understand. I used the paper instruction booklet that came with the product, there is also a BILT app available. I prefer 8 x 10 paper, you may like the app. The pergola was an excellent addition to our back yard. By the way, delivery was timely, no damage and the driver helped me unload. ,

After careful consideration, we purchased the Ashford Traditional Steel Pergola with sun shade. The delivery was on time. My son and I put up the pergola in a weekend. All parts were accounted for, with easy instructions. All hardware fit perfectly. Excellent product and company

Pergola was everything they said it would be. It is absolutely beautiful and I'm getting so many compliments about how it has changed my backyard area. It is very sturdy and easy to put together. I had 2 damaged pieces during shipment and they had them replaced within 3 days with no questions asked.

Durability-check Style-check Value-check. The only thing that would have made this 5 stars would have to made the height taller. I'm 5'4 and I can touch the frame. My son is 6'1 and feels like he has to avoid hitting his head. We are putting 5” blocks under each pole to raise it up to a better height.

I would give this 4 stars but none of the description or reviews mentioned that the electrical box would need an extension cord to operate or to be professionally installed. It seems kind of obvious now but it is useless to us until we hire an electrician. Easy to install, no extra pieces so if you loose a cap or something you won't have extras. Looks great!
