Backyard Discovery Montpelier Cedar Wood Swing Set, Slide, Clubhouse, Monkey Bars

We have had the set for a few weeks and couldn't be happier! Delivery was a tad longer than expected due to the shipping company used, but once it arrived it is just as advertised! Though time consuming it was relatively easy to assemble (my husband and a friend did it over two days) and seems a nice sturdy structure. We didn't have any missing parts or damaged pieces. Would definitely recommend as it was half the price s of other structures and just as good quality!

We are very pleased with the new swing set from Backyard Discovery. My son (6) and daughter (1) are LOVING IT!! Thank you for bringing some new found joy to our backyard. I love that I dont have to pack them in the car to take them to the park ;)

Love the play structure. Took a few days for myself to set up but was able to do it all. Kids love it. Boogie board is the 'hot' item the kids all go for. Ensure you are setting it up on level ground and when setting up the fort pay very close attention to which way the vertical posts go with the previous drilled holes. Shipping was excellent as well.

It shipped well, parts were laid out and accounted for and were all there. It is very sturdy and the grandchildren love it. It fits perfectly in the yard and is very attractive.

I'm pleased with the set overall and enjoyed building it for my son. Be prepared for a long build time. I found it helpful to sort through all the parts on a few tables and having a larger table just for building the sections as I went. In hindsight I wish I had numbered the hardware bags and then numbered the hardware in the instructions to speed up the search for parts. The wood is stamped so that was easy but there is so much hardware of varying sizes that look alike that I spent a lot of time rereading the print on the bags to make sure I had the right size part. The instructions are 89 pages long and pretty well detailed but again it would have been faster if the bags were numbered so you could set them out in numerical order and know that in step 1 you need four 1's, four 2's, four 8's, and sixteen 22's for example.

Overall, Great playset for a small back yard. You can leave out the Monkey bars for if you have less space. When assembling, just sort out all the pieces 1st, download the Built App and look through the assembly process to help sort out the pieces , that way you get a very clear idea of how things come together. DO NOT leave the wood laying out in the sun too long, the wood will warp, (some pieces were already warped in the box) Careful of splinters, had to go through many pieces and smooth out, specially the floor boards. You can even stain the wood, obviously do it before assembly. Took me a about 8 hours with a helper for full assembly.

layground is super fun. It was a project putting it together, but that was somewhat fun too. We are very intermediate builders but managed to do it without too many problems. Our ship time was very long (it took over a month from when we ordered to when it arrived) but that is the nature of things right now. The playground itself is sturdy, fun and great. I have 4 kids ages 3-11. The 11 year old is a little big but can still play on it. A few elements are very challenging for the 3 year old, but she loves it. A level surface is a must or it won't go together. We didn't realize until we put the playground together our backyard is not quite level and had to fix it in a few spots.

We purchased the swing set online and it arrived in two boxes, in record time! Due to reviews and limited time, we decided to pay extra to have it installed. So glad we did as although my husband and I are both quite adept with tools, it took the professional 12 hours to set up. It is a great set, but I already wish I'd bought a set with a 5' deck height. I have a 5 year old who is of average height and she is almost too tall to pay underneath already. Our 8 year old neighbor is too tall for all areas. I also wish it had a 4/4 swing beam as I do not think I will feel comfortable with more than two kids swinging at once (even though there are spots for four)- it is just not that robust. Even he swing chains and mounts are not so heavy-duty. Overall, good product for YOUNG kids. The only reason I would not recommend it, is that I want longevity in a purchase of this expense and I am pretty sure my kids will grow out of it by around age 7.
