Backyard Discovery Ridgedale 12x8' Galvanized Steel Cabana Corner Pergola, Canopy, Seating

Was a bit skeptical at first but due to size restraints I purchased the corner pergola. Nice product with very good instructions. A few missed steps in layout but was able to accomplish it relatively easy. My only wish is that would be made with aluminum to make it rust free. We will see if it holds up.

I fell in love with the "Hillsdale Traditional Steel Cabana Pergola" while looking among many other selections day one. It wasn't too difficult putting together (since my husband/I own our sm.bus....2-heads better than 1); and we discovered it's really best to follow exactly the directing easy instructions provided (takes 2 to install /ladder). We both now enjoy this purchase; and our neighbors have said it looks great.

The pergola ended up exactly as I had imagined, short of the cushion colors. I'm very pleased with the quality and styling. I hired the 3rd party assemblers recommended by the manufacturer and they did a great job. The cost was reasonable and they were done in about 2 hours. They had three people total working on it. I selected the terra cota colored cushions based on the swatch and “images,” which are really just mock-ups. I chose the color because it was so similar to the rest of my outdoor furniture. Unfortunately the color is more of a fiery red than terra cota or what is depicted in the images. Maybe the company will let me exchange for a neutral color. The end table that sits in the corner is much larger than I anticipated and that's a good thing. You can fit a good bit of stuff on it, including a potted plant and still have room for drinks and stuff. The base cushions are firm but the leaning cushions are a bit too soft. I wish they were firmer so back support is better. I solved this by adding bolsters to the loveseats.

This is a beautiful pergola. Very well-made good quality. Pieces were all there. The design really sets it off from others I I've seen. My only complaint was the shipping. Delivery was made one day ahead of schedule. Boxes had to sit in front of our house overnight since my husband and myself are elderly. Just a heads up. It took three men about six hours to put together.

My wife and I really love this product. It is a real conversation piece in the yard and we have received many positive compliments from our neighbors. I am a mid-60's, small frame 5' 5" male, and it took me about 5 partial days to setup and install by myself. Woodworking clamps are your friend when working solo for holding members until you can get screws attached. I had a more complicated installation since I did not install on a deck or have a concrete pad already in place. I poured three concrete piers for the structure to be built upon based on a drawing with dimensions that I received from Backyard Discovery support. The pier layout locations had to be very accurate since they would have been hard to move inside my crushed gravel pad that I created at the same time. I had to brush up on my trigonometry. The installation went like clockwork, but it was a little intimidating at first when seeing all of components spread across the yard so that they can be easily identified per the manual. I have attached a few pictures, but the pergola is just one part of my project so the yard is not complete. I would like to see Backyard Discovery possibly add some low voltage lighting and/or possibly an outdoor fan option that could be purchased. Again, we love this product thus far.

We've had this installed for about 6 weeks, during which time Dallas has had severe storms and wind up to 65 miles per hour for what seems like days on end. Though the pergola is not “anchored” to the composite deck, at 600 pounds it is heavy enough that the high winds did not move it even an inch. Very impressed with the quality of the unit and the professional install team. Wish we had room to add another one!

We have just finished setting up of Cabana Pergola and can't wait for the weather to get a little nicer so we can really enjoy it. It is so beautiful and really adds a nice focal point for our drab back yard. We plan to do some more landscaping around it to make it even more appealing. My husband and I are in our 70's and were able to set it up on our own. I don't necessarily recommend that. It was a bit of a challenge at our age, but we got it done. Having a couple of young strong people to help would have been an advantage, but it is doable. We are very pleased with the product and look forward to spending a lot of time in the backyard this summer.

We bought this for our backyard. It is amazing! Quality product. Easy assembly! We used it to block off the neighbor's view of our yard.

I am one of the pickiest people you will ever meet. This is top notch quality piece. Could not be Happier with it.

We put it together in stages, had no issues with missing parts. The size is perfect for our space, and the bamboo wall panels are beautiful. Seating is nice, the seat cushions are perfect, firm and supportive, but the back cushions are kind of a joke. They should be thicker and firmer as well. We'll be adding foam to these for sure.
