Backyard Discovery Tucson Cedar Wooden Swing Set

Although assembly was interesting and fully expected after reading prior reviews before ordering, the swing set was worth every penny and then some. After reviewing local home improvement stores, there was nothing close to the value. I would strongly suggest picking home delivery instead of site to store. The trucking company contacts you via email and schedules a delivery date and timeframe. The box is about 8 feet long, 3 feet wide and 1 foot deep and weighs about 200 lbs. surprisingly enough they manage to fit everything into box including the slide that come in sections. Everything outlined here about taking 8 hours is 100% true. For the most part, I assembled the swings set by myself with the exception of needing help for about 15 minutes. For those of you with the power screwdrivers, do yourself a favor and put them away. Cedar is a soft wood. Overall, I have nothing negative to say about the product and will be purchasing another unit for my other grandson. Can’t buy one without buying for the other :-)

Awesome. My kids and neighbors love it! It’s not easy to set up, though it is pretty well explained on instructions. What I mean is that it takes hours to put up, and if you have an electric drill it’ll help. Now I ho to the backyard, read relax and they always have fun.

I am still in the process of putting it together. The parts are well marked. The instructions are good but not all bolt labeling is consistent yet I figured it out. Will be a good set but somewhat light duty which is why it is rated for 3 to 10 years old . Well planned construction.

It took me and my husband close to 14 hours to assemble. They shorted us about 30 screws so I had to go to the hardware store. Be careful when doing all of your drilling the wood will split easily. We have had several pieces splinter and chip from the installation. I'm not sure of the weight limit on this set is but I would not buy this for older/bigger children. I would say this set it for 2 to 5 or 6 years old. With all of that said my son is almost 3 and 32pds. And he loves it! It has all the features he loves. He loves the picnic table to put his snacks on.

My Dad is a contractor that has been building houses for over 30 years and this was a nightmare for us to put together. These are some of the worst instructions we've ever had to follow, there were several KEY pieces missing, and this is not quality materials at all. Please don't make the same mistake we did.

Absolutely horrible. Certain wood pieces were splintered straight out of box, wood mildewed after one rain, important bolt pieces missing (had to buy replacement bolts), has very "rickety" feel to it even after tightening everything as tight as possible and stacking it down, very small for the price. For close to $500, it's definitely not worth it. Have had it for most of the year now and would give it 0 stars if possible. Would not purchase again or ever recommend this playset.

Purchased April of 2019. Two weeks ago the wood supporting the swings (triangle shape) fell apart. The kids complained about splinters a couple of months ago in the clubhouse. My kids are 5 and 6. It was built and placed in a dry area. It only got wet when it rained I live in California.

The picture and function look good until you get it home. I am relatively handy, but this was annoying for a "kit". It was missing some screes, had way to many of others. The instructions said to call if it was missing parts, but it took me 2 days to assemble and I'm not going to take time off from work when the parts arrived. Required a few drills I didn't have, so I had to purchase them. Basically it was more work than if I had built it from scratch, and not as sturdy. When they say it has to be level, THEY MEAN LEVEL! If it's off by 1 degree it creaks and makes terrifying noises. Plan to waste a whole weeekend and plan an extra $100 for further supplies.

So I ordered this item twice with ship to store. The first item arrived on the date they said it would, but the item had shipping damage and had to reorder. I ordered it again and it was supposed to arrive by August 17 and I am still waiting on it to arrive

I ordered this set twice and both times it arrived in unacceptable condition and was refused. The first time the box was busted open, filthy, and had parts protruding from the box. It was shrink wrapped to the pallet to hold it together. The next time it arrived as a bunch of parts wrapped in plastic with no box at all. If Walmart is selling seconds or open box returns, they should specify that.
