Keep this in my purse always. Works well for adults and my kids.
We've ordered the face sticks for about 3-4 years now and love them! Works great for adults and children & works well. Clean ingredients 👍👍
Love stick form, easy to apply on face& ears .
I have always had trouble with breakouts and a burning sensation when I use sunscreen on my face. I recently purchased this for a trip to the beach (Florida panhandle in July!) and wore it every day. I also wear a hat but I find that the sun reflecting off the sand can be just as dangerous as the direct rays! This sunscreen did not create that burning sensation once I went out into the sun and kept my face extremely protected. And I had zero breakouts! Even after using this multiple times a day for 6 days straight. When I applied it to my skin, it was very thick with a whiteish tint but as soon as I rubbed it in with my hands, it disappeared. I'm very happy with this purchase. I love Badger Balm products!!!
This product is great. I happened to have it in my bag one day when I was about to go kayaking and thankfully I did because it stopped me from getting fried! Although I originally bought it to use on smaller parts of my body like my face, I used it on my arms and thighs and worked great.
A little background: I have fair skin, am allergic to most sunscreens, have a history of melanoma, and was going to Hawaii for a week. At home I wear hats with wide brims, and sun protective clothing, which I also used in Hawaii, but it's hard to keep a wide brimmed hat on when snorkeling and playing in the waves. This was a free item I received when I purchased the Badger Clear Zinc (which I also used). I especially like the sport stick for my face and neck. It isn't as thick and pastey, it spread easily, and most importantly, I didn't get sunburned and no rash!
I like that it's so well-rated on EWG. However, I wish it was a little easier to put on - tends to pull the skin a little. For an adult, it's probably ok. But for my 4 year olds, they didn't love the feeling, and it made sunscreen application even more of a chore. Keeping it for myself, though!
I'm not an avid sunscreen wearer and generally avoid it since I need the Vitamin D so much. However, this summer I went on two bike tours for the first time and thought I better take sun protection seriously since I'd be riding several hours a day. This goes on pretty thick....the stick is thick and doesn't spread easily, so you have to rub relatively hard to get your skin covered. Once it's on it seems to do an OK job though I probably should have reapplied during the day more. I also used this on my forearms which burned the first day of my bike tour (from lack of sunscreen) and this helped. I still burned more with it, but probably wouldn't have if I had reapplied more often. I have sensitive skin on my face and tend to break out easily but I had no issues at all with this irritating my skin in any way. I appreciated that the most and will continue to use this product for that reason alone. I'll need to get better about reapplying the sunscreen more than once during the day. I like that it's a stick so I didn't have to worry about a bottle popping open and making a mess in my panniers. If I could change one thing about this product, I'd make it a higher SPF...50 would be better for my fair skin.
I am medium-brown and work outside. This product does its job as long as applied thoroughly. However it is REALLY sticky and hard, and difficult to apply unless it's warm. It also smells kind of not so great. It's not an awful smell but I don't love it.
It's okay. I was expecting a larger stick width because this is way too small to comfortably apply to the face. It feels more like an oversized lip balm than a sunscreen, and while you can apply it to the face, the size and density makes it too difficult to spread. It's an okay option to have on the go for touch ups throughout the day, but I'd rather use it for smaller surface areas like ears and lips.
