Was shaped slightly different than my original bake element and I thought that it wouldn't fit. With a little light bending I was able to match the shape of the prongs to work with my oven. I believe this to be just part of the normal process of adjusting fit properly and not necessarily a bad thing. Then I go and attach the electrical connections and after I screwed the element down and turn the breaker back on I find it wasn't working. My fault-one of the electrical connection slipped off. This time I crimped the connection somewhat so the connection was seated tighter. And guess what...oven works like new. Picking up at Wally World was really easy. Saved a few bucks too.
Worked Great - Exact Fit - My oven baking coil at the house started to burn out and before the wife had a chance to turn off the stove, the element had burnt in-half. I have previous experience with repairing appliances and I decided to order an element and replace it my self and during my internet search, I had seen that Walmart could get the heating element and I gave them a chance. The element was the exact fit and no modifications were needed.
Our kitchen stove baking element became inoperative. No, problem, I thought, just go to Lowes and buy another. Lowes didn't have it. Home Depot didn't have it, and no one had it. My Kitchen Range was made in Mexico and that company went out of business 10 years ago. Just for laughs, I decided to check Walmart.com. OMG, Walmart had the very one I needed and for a very cheap price. Just a few clicks and my Kitchen Range Baking Element was on the way. Thank you Walmart. It works great.
If you're like me, you only order one of these when you need one ASAP because your oven has stopped working. So, my criteria were: Was it priced right and easy to order? Did it arrive on time? Was it easy to assemble? Does it do the job it's supposed to? Based on my experience, I wholeheartedly recommend this method to others who are looking for the same thing on all counts. A replacement for our oven's baking element; at the time of writing (July 2014), this was more than $55 cheaper than the official GE version, so it was a no brainer decision. Ordering it was simplicity itself. I received emails confirming the order, when it had been shipped, and when it had been delivered to the store. Delivery to the store was better than expected, and was a day or two earlier than the date I was given when I ordered it. I called in to pick it up the same day. The associate had no trouble locating my order, and my total time in the store was less than 5 minutes. It's not complicated. This kind of thing either works or it doesn't; there's no middle ground. It was visually identical to the old element (except for the burned out part of course). Fitting it to the oven was no more difficult than the official element would have been. After a brief heating period to break the new element in, we put it into use and it worked perfectly. So, 100% OK.
Fits perfectly and warms just like the OEM heating element. I recommend pulling the range out from the wall to access the electrical clips because the wires are just too short to pull out through the oven.
Install myself an it works
We absolutely love this product heats up nicely and quick
If you want to pay 45 dollars plus shipping from GE or a preferred distributor, go ahead... but this is the SAME item priced at about 13 dollars and with ship to store the shipping is free. Just go to Wal-Mart and pick it up and put in yourself with a 1/4 inch or 6mm socket and save a repair bill as well (another $50 to $75).
The product hasn't failed, and walmart's service was fine. Its just not a match to the old element and didn't fit or sit flat like the one I pulled out. Maybe just under 2 inches longer. but hey, 13 bucks.... it'll do.
This is the worst shaped element I have ever seen. Its not shape like the one on the website.
