BakerStone Basics Series Grill Top Pizza Oven Box Kit

Bought the unit for my wife, but I found my self in charge of the pizza baking. Easy to put together. My wife makes her own dough, pre-cooks the toppings and we all make our own concoction then they give it to me to do the honors. Great results, everyone happy.

About 20 minutes to assemble, 20 mins to heat up on our Kenmore 2 burn gas grill. Removed the heat deflectors shut lid over hits about 600. We made 4 pizzas dusted with fine corn meal this over is great can't wait to try cooking in my cast iron pan in this thing !!

This made the best pizza. Came out just like it was cooked in a brick oven. Crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Can't wait to use it again.

Used for the first time Saturday %26 my pizza's came out perfect. Actually needed help the first time BUT think I can manage by myself from now on!! GREAT BUY!! What is even better my house stays cool!!!

Was unsure of the materials but was very happy when the Bakerstone Pizza Oven arrived. I was very easy to assemble & we have used it 3 times in the past 2 weeks. Each pizza (a pepperoni, a sausage, & a True Junk pizza) all came out delicious.

Just got it - used it for the first time last weekend did not disappoint

I had mixed feelings for this review. One one hand, it made a beautiful crust and the pizza cooked quickly and beautifully. I gave it four stars, though, because we had to disregard the instructions in order to get the oven to heat properly. Instructions say NOT to close the lid when heating and cooking. We did this for almost 30 minutes, but the oven never came up to temp. Once we closed the grill's lid, it quickly reached cooking temp and everything turned out great. We used it on a Weber Genesis. Fits perfectly. It was easy to put together and feels very sturdy and well made. Time will tell if this was a good buy - but for now we're happy!

Got a couple of weeks ago but no chance to use yet

Purchased this kit in August 2016 and found it to be easy to assemble and well made. I initially tested it by making Naan flatbread to accompany an Indian curry meal and that worked out just great. However, when trying to cook Pizza I found that the bottom was overcooking and tending to burn whilst the topping was still undercooked, despite rotating every 45 seconds. Decided that the unit’s “natural convection” heat distribution is relatively poor and so this unit has been relegated to Naan making and I will stick with our electric stove’s “forced convection” bake oven for Pizza making.

Takes over 30 minutes to reach cooking temperature. If at all. Not worth the money even at auction price. Good idea, but very poor design.
