Install went good except for clamp at the driver's side at the tailgate. I had to use a plastic shim to level the rail enough for the automatic lock to engage. Directions leave a bit to be desired if you have never installed a cover. I would buy again provided this one lasts a long time.

I went from a ARE fiberglass lid to this. . . Which limits you extremely. . The MX4 cover looks really good. . . . Easy install. . locks with tailgate. . Was missing one screw for the buckle latch, no biggie. . . never throw out extra hardware from any install!! Overall happy with product

Fairly easy install. The videos help a lot. I had a slight issue with the rails leaning down slightly after being tightened. This kept the latches from catching when unrolled. After re-installing several times to see if I'd done something wrong, I just used a pair channel locks and bent the rails ever so slightly where the latches would make contact. Just enough to get it to latch without actually being able to see it. Worked great from there out.

The BakFlip is a premium quality cover. I had one on a 19 Frontier and it was great. About 98% dry. I put a Gator folding cover on a 25 GMC Sierra 1500. That truck got totalled at 903 miles. I installed the Bakflip on my replacement 25 GMC Sierra 1500 last week. I prefer the matte finish on the BakFlip compared to the shiny satin finish on the Gator. Both covers required a little "tweaking" to get the latches to catch just right, The Gator design preferred that I close the tailgate with the top open. The BakFlip design works well both ways. That is I can close the tailgate with the cover open or closed. The BakFlip permits the whole folded cover to be flipped up to lean against the truck cab. This is necessary when hauling items like a motorcycle for example. In contrast the Gator cover must be removed since it does not flip up against the cab. In the past 3 months I have purchased both folding tonneau covers and installed them on identical 25 GMC 1500 Sierra pickups. While the BakFlip cost nearly twice as much, I would pay the greater amount again to have the advantages the BakFlip offers over the Gator and the Matte finish compliments my trucks trim better the the shiny satin Gator finish. For budget conscious folks the Gator is a good quality option that frankly is a better bang for the buck buy than the BakFlip. But it all comes down to preferences. The Gator was about 95% water tight. I cannot comment on the BakFlip since I've seen no rain since installation.

Overall, this cover is great, however there are some fit and finish issues for my vehicle, 2025 Tacoma (6-foot bed). For the finish, many of the foam cushions on the underside of the cover were not applied properly and were skewed. The top rubber cushions near the cab were not sticking completely to the top (still aren't). The fit is a bit off, and the instructions are off as well. For the fit the rails do not cover the adaptor rails on both sides. I assume this is a tolerance issue with the Toyota bed liner, just not enough size accounted for in the BAKFlip design to cover this tolerance. The gap allows water to enter the bed freely, see photos. The mounting of the rails to the adaptor rails cannot be performed as the instruction show, see photos. The elevation of the Toyota rail system is too low for the clamp bolts to tighten when aligned with the rail centerline, as shown in the instructions. This required the clamp bolt to be tightened with the bolt over the bed rail. When the rail clamps are installed in the alternate position on the rear of the bed, the rear set of cover clips will not click, due to flexing of the cover rails. There is too much rail distance from the last clamp shown in the alternate instructions to the end of the cover and the rail just flexes too much to clip in. To remedy, the clamps needed to be installed further toward the back of the bed than instructions show.

Very nice cover, easy to install, on truck for approximately three weeks washed the truck yesterday for the first time and just found a little bit of water in the center where it must've dripped from my joint or pivots, but the size of a half a dollar inside the bed otherwise everything else look dry, very happy with it

The installation went well and is not complicated. Just two slight improvements. One, make the installation instructions more precise and available. The card in the box had a QR code for the Ford F-150. I had to go online to find the instructions for my truck. Second, the bulkhead seal is cheap. Upgrade it with a rubber seal. Other than those two slight suggestions, the cover looks great!

I really like the bed cover it is a great product. Installation is through a link and doesn't even bring you to the install. It is the main website. For the cost of the cover they can do much better on that side of selling the product. Otherwise an awesome bed cover.

Materials seem to be good quality. Bed cover is sturdy but does not adequately cover the bed. There are a few gaps that do not seal well. Will work well for keeping items safe from theft, but I would not recommend if you are looking for something that is watertight. It comes with drain tubes which can route a lot of water out of the bed, but a lot of water still ends up in the bed of the truck.

I had a 2017 Ridgeline and loved the Bakflip. Purchased 2025 Ridgeline and a new Bakflip and could not get it mounted - rails are not as sturdy and I found others online with similar issues. Went back and mounted the 2017 Bakflip onto the 2025 Ridgeline and it was simple and easy. RealTruck really needs to look at the design of the rail systems.
