My three children, ages 7, 5 and 2, love this so much I had to hide the Bakugan so they would stop fighting over them! My oldest can play the actual game but the younger two just love the way they open when they toss them. The mat folds down pretty easily for storage soon. So far they are durable as my kids throw them everywhere and no issues with breaking. I wish they came with directions, but we found them online. A lot of fun!
This was a great gift to give my nephew. He enjoys small toys and these really spiked his interest as they pop open and create little figures. He doesn't fully understand just yet the battle design of each character however he is learning the game. Overall I am pleased with this battle field game and so is my nephew.
I got my Son this Bakugan Battle Bundle and he loves it. This one comes with a nice size exclusive battling mat that is about 24 inches wide once it opens up. I was very suprised to see how many of his friends his age enjoy playing with this. For the summer I put away the playstation gaming system so the kids can be outside more and so far this is one of the games they like to play while being in the backyard. Ithe game includes 4 bakugans, 8 bakucores along with four ability and character cards. The instruction sheet is very helpful and for someone like me who dont know anything about this game, I did get a better understanding after reading it. Truely recommend for boys and girls ten year old and up.
My 11 year old really likes this game. This starter pack comes with everything you need to play a very basic game. This includes the mat, 4 Bakugan characters, 4 action/point cards and 4 character cards. Plus 8 point tiles. It should be enough to judge whether you like the game, however with only this amount of game pieces it makes each game terribly short, just a couple minutes per game. You can buy packs to add to the game which would add characters, cards, and tiles that would increase the time by quite a bit. The game instructions are very easy to follow and figuring out the winner of each battle is simple. I like games that take a combo of skills and luck, so one person doesn't win every time, and this is one of those.
This box claims that you can just set up the mat and immediately "battle". This is true if you are not planning on playing by the official rules (which you have to go online to find). The only information in the box about Bakugan shows you how to roll the ball over the disk so that the ball pops open to reveal a character. The box doesn't contain any information about the card, or what the disk you open the Bakugan with signifies, or even what the powers are of any one given character. If you do go online to find the information, you discover that to truly play the game properly you need more characters, more cards, and more disks. My child was very disappointed and immediately started putting Bukugan on his wish list for Christmas so that he could play the real game. If your child enjoys just messing around with the characters and trying to roll them across the hexpads to get them to pop open or enjoys collecting them for display, then this is a fun set. If your child is competitive or is a child who wants to "play properly", then I would not recommend this set unless you fully plan to invest more into Bakugan, or already have.
I received this product for my honest rating and review. My product arrived well packaged with no damage. I received -Bakugan battle bundle game. It comes with 4 Bakugan, 8 bakuCores, 4 character cards, 4 ability cards and an exclusive 24 inch wide battling mat. It is for ages 6 and older. My son and his friend had a great time battling and it kept the busy and off the internet so I was pleased. My son and I rate this item 4 out of 5 and do recommend it.
We were not super familiar with the Bakugan game and toys but with a little Internet research where I was able to find their website and also a tutorial on how to play the game. Basically you use the cards and the Bakugan figures to play against each other when you roll the figures if one of them opens when they hit each other then that person wins the round. My boys enjoyed playing it for quite a while one only small problem was one of the Bakugan had a small piece of plastic break off of it when they impacted each other on the mat. You could still play with it after that. You could still play with it though even after the small piece broke off just thinking about smaller toddlers or babies to keep it away from. There is a whole world of Bakugan out there too explore.
The Bakugan, Battle Bundle with 4 Bakugan was a surprise for my son. He was extremely excited when he received the box. The kids did have a tough time figuring out the game. The rules were really hard for them to understand at first. Once they figured out the rules, they really had a lot of fun playing the game. The mat (game board) folds up very neatly for storage. The game came with 4 different bakugan, the kids already want more. I comes with a few cards and little disks for the Bakugan to land on. For the directions the kids had to look them up up which was kind of strange and annoying but they were able to find them online very quickly. Overall, I will purchase more cards and Bakugan because they really do enjoy playing the game. They like the battles and the different outcomes. I enjoyed listening to them play and enjoy themselves.
While my kids were participating in a summer program, some kids were trading the Bakugan cards and my kids got curious about it. All they were told was that it was a cool game and to get it at Walmart. They were very happy when we got it but not for long. The game didn't have any instructions. The card insert referred to a website and phone number. I tried the website but couldn't find the instructions there. They spent a long time searching online for how to play it and couldn't figure it out. So, my kids did what they are good at, and invented their own rules. They have no clue what the cards could be used for, but they love rolling, spinning, and dropping those balls to make their critters pick up the tokens. They say that sometimes the critters won't ball up and sometimes they won't open up but they are making it work. I took some time to try to find the real instructions but didn't find them either. I saw that there is an app for fans but didn't see the instructions there. It said it was a free game, but I don't want my kids on electronics playing. There was a book of rules for advanced players but we aren't there. My kids are playing their own game for now but I cannot recommend it if I can't figure out how to play it.
My Family loves playing all kinds of games. We usually do a family game night. So, I decided to try Bakugan Battle Planet. My daughter was very excited to get the game out of the box. She was so intrigued with how cool the creatures converted into a ball. When she got all of the pieces out of the box her excitement came to a halt, because there were no instructions in the box of how to play the game. There was a little card in the box to call some telephone number or go to a website for questions. I went to the website only to find there were no instructions of how to play the game, but products to purchase. Then my husband said there is an app we needed to get. When I looked up the app it costs $1.99 per episode, which it appeared to be just the shows not the instructions. I then decided to Google a YouTube video on how to play this game. The video explained part of how to play, but it totally neglected to explain what we were supposed to do with the second deck of cards that came with the game. We tried playing the game, but the playing board did not have raised edges to keep the balls from rolling off the table like the one had in the video. In order to get the edges that would be a separate purchase. We all were quite disappointed in the way this game did not come with written instructions.
