I bought this piece to add to my gym to be able to do shrugs, bent over rows, upright rows, and some pressing variations and for the price point I am pleased with the product. Unless you're planning on going 500lbs on a smith machine this product will get the job done v.s. The $1,000 competitors.

Excellent value for the quality and price. I was initially skeptical after the low price and some of the reviews, but I'm all in on this. Horrible instructions, but assembly is straight forward after laying out the pieces. I'd recommend having help for safety, and use a cordless driver for quick 1-hour assembly. Could have come with washers for each bolt, but that's about it. 1 of the 2 boxes is ridiculously heavy.

This Smith Machine is perfect for my home gym. Small footprint, works great - pretty sturdy. For the price it's a great value. I'm not sure if I'd put the entire 1,000 lbs on it, but it's stable for the weights I use for presses, squats, rows, etc. Very happy with my purchase!

First I want to say it's worth every dollar and it very sturdy. The instructions for this item are so basic and not really helpful. They tell you it's only five steps to put together this big piece of equipment. All of the screws come in on bag not labeled not identified or told how many are in the package. It does come with five tools that are helpful. Also you will need two people to complete the assembly because eight of the bolts have to screwed underneath the machine. The biggest problem is the barbell that comes with it. You need a vice machine to hold the barbell in place while using the giant Allen wrench. I'm a teacher and i brought it to the woodshop teacher to disassemble the barbell. Also the the two towers can be assembled incorrectly so make sure you have the large hook bars facing inside. The instructions are so vague and the parts are not labeled left or right. Also one of the bolt for the pull up was misdrilled and would not fit. But the other one is so strong it's not affecting the performance. Nothing about any piece equipment is cheap or low quality. Everything is heavy and well made. The movement of the back is a little noisy when it goes up and down but it's not a problem. I just recommend to my friend who is about to spend 2500 on a smith machine. Changes i would make to this equipment. 1. Send the barbell disassembled 2. Label the towers left and right 3. Pre bolt all the bases for the towers Also this packaging was amazing it was shrink wrapped and wood panel insulation on both boxes.

Solid smith machine. Perfect for home gym. So far, so good. It's a very sturdy, well-built machine. Comes with pull-up bar, rack attachments, and attachment for dips. Only complaint is the lack of clarity of the instructions to assemble (lowered star rating for this). It's not rocket science, though. Just look at the pictures closely and have someone to help. Totally great deal at this price (on sale for 399), with free shipping.

it would have received a 5 star ...... only one concern its nice but one of the safety catches hits the very end of the bar so I believe if something happened and it was to fall only one side is going to hold properly . other than that i like it I put it together by my self so the assembly is not bad at all ... worth the money . I have no contacted anyone about the concern

It was a 2hour project. I had my twin, my son, and the neighbor eventually had to come over to help. Overall for the price I am satisfied. The quality and color is good for the “cheap price” or sale lol I definitely recommend for someone that wants to be fit from comfort of home and not trying to spend a paycheck on the equipment.

I could not get the sleeve off. I had to order a barbell without a sleeve. in fact, i ordered multiple because none fit perfect in the smith rack. Walmart would not accept a return since i did not keep the boxes. The boxes are large and heavy. Who wants to go through that ordeal. They did not offer a partial refund. They offered an exchange but I could have had the same issue with the barbell sleeve and the hex bolt being too tight. The actual vendor stated to spray the bolt with WD-40 which did not work. They also stated since it was bought through Walmart they couldnt do anything. The rack itself is very sturdy, engineered pretty well.

This has been a nightmare. We ordered $1800 worth of equipment from this company. The first package that arrived was only 1 of 2. The other one never arrived. Worked with Walmart to get a replacement. The next package that arrived was the wrong item - it was a Power Cage and we ordered a Smith Machine. The packaging is just random plastic wrap and cardboard, so you have to take it completely apart to even figure out what the item is. Now I am being told that I have to return all the items so I have to assemble the hundred or so parts into something that can be transported and returned. I am livid and can not believe the incompetence of this company.

the review is not about the smith machine, it's about the way Walmart handle this purchase. they only delivered one of the box, it was supposed to be 2 box. when i called customer service, they said to give it 48 hrs because the other box is on the way, they can't provide me with a tracking number, because it's the same tracking number for both boxes which shows everything was delivered. the representative told me they don't ship both boxes at the same because it's too heavy for fedex delivery driver to handle, which does not make sense since there's not different tracking number for the packages. i will wait after 48 hrs and if nothing happens i will call Walmart to know what is happening. such a waste of people time
