These plates are very well-made, sturdy, heavy duty…great handles. My only regret is that I think Walmart has discontinued. Most of them. I know they've got smaller sets …which is great, but I like the larger doubles better. The plates are very durable cosmetically appealing they ship expediently…. very well packaged. Always arrive on time and intact. Walmart actually has a very good product ….once again… I wish they would carry more of them. I have bought a couple more sets of them.😉 I recommend this product, hands-down, five stars, Im really hoping to buy more in my future🏋️♀️
So far So Good - this is an excellent addition to my home gym. The added 2 inch clamps made the purchase even better. The weigh is approximately a dollar a pound - you cannot go wrong with this purchase unless you accidently drop and break a plate. Thank you Balancefrom.
Review for 25 lb x 2 Olympic plates. I used these today on my Smith machine and they worked great. They fit well enough to go on easily enough but not loose where they'll shift around (I don't use clamps). The integrated handle is key, I'm unsure why I ever bought the cheap ones without it. The handle design also allows for easy plate removal when plates are sticking together.
The cast Iron plates are of great construction quality, I have dropped them a few times before I put rubber foam and they have no chipping at all. The main purpose of purchasing these plates was the ease of use when it comes to certain plate workouts I do that was my primary concern and choice for purchasing the plates.
Easy grip areas on weights. Edges are smooth and easy to use on barbells and smith system with pulleys. Made to last and good quality with easy to read weight amount in kg and lbs. I have two total sets of these and would buy again if I need more weight.
Perfect for home gym. Enough weight to be barbell workout or just hold a plate to do your exercises. Takes up to little or no room which is important for home gyms. The bar comes in 3 pieces. Easy to assemble, just screw together. Bar has grip to hold your hands in place when you get sweaty.
i have about 4 different brands of plates for my garage gym and by far all the equipment by balancefrom have been my favorite and what i've recommended to friends. price wise they are the most reasonable and affordable I've found for new weights and they hold up the best. the coating on the plates themselves is pretty solid, so none of them have chipped around the edges. Handles make it a lot easier to load weight, especially for deadlift, because you can use the handle as a spot to grab as well as a buffer between the actual plates so you aren't annoyingly smashing your fingers at 4 or 5 plates.
A great deal for two 45 lb plates. They were maybe 2" taller than my Fitness gear plates and slightly thinner. The paint look nice but isn't that glossy pain like on the Fitness gear plates. My big worry when i saw they were bigger was that they might not fit on my plate stand but they easily fit. An awesome buy that was cheaper than used plates. They have olympic size holes and the packaging was awesome - no marks.
I like the fact that the weights are not as thick as other plate weights that I have therefore you can get more on a sleeve. They are a cast-iron with a durable painted finish if they get scratched, dented or chipped, you can easily spray them and make them look brand new again. The handles are very user-friendly. The value is fabulous. The shipping is top-of-the-line. I recommend this product and I'm replacing weights with this product constantly so far I'm about 2000 pounds in plate weights in this particular product and my cart has several more in it that I'm purchasing in the future.
Boxes arrived completely torn open. No bar to use with weights. Returned item. Was told replacement would arrive Nov 20. It was never processed. Cancelled order after waiting another 10 days with no resolution. I do not recommend irdering anything like this.
