This is as close to a commercial leg press that you would find in a regular gym for an outrageously cost efficient price. I do competitive bodybuilding and this leg press works perfectly for my high intensity leg workouts. I can't believe it is actually as cheap as it is and also was free delivery I would have expected to pay almost three times this much.

Handle bent during the delivery. I used car jack to put it back into its original shape because it's too heavy to return it. Also, the safety handle unbalanced when weights rest on see. There's a video of a guy show how to fix it with washers to balance it out. Once, it's all good, the machine is superbly nice to use.

Excellent home gym equipment

Steven May 3, 2026

This thing is big, so make sure you've got the space for it before you order. You'll also need more than one person to get the leg sled mounted — it's large and heavy, and honestly three people makes it much easier. Once it was fully assembled, I was really impressed with the overall quality and how well it functions. I've had lower‑back issues most of my life, so traditional squats are basically an injury waiting to happen. This machine removes that risk since my back stays locked in place and only my legs and glutes are doing the work. The design feels just like the commercial gym sleds I've used in the past. It comes with two different weight horns for loading plates. I only installed the top one to save space, and it still gives me more loading capacity than I'll ever need. If you've got plenty of width, you can install the longer bar too, but most people won't need it. My only minor complaint is the built‑in plate storage. The machine is designed for Olympic plates, but the storage pegs are 1‑inch. You can still hang your 2‑inch plates on them, but they really should've matched the Olympic size like the weight horn does.

Balance Form Leg press

James January 23, 2026

Well first of all I don't do reviews. But in the case of the mystery Walmart leg press I must. I had been in the market for a leg press for a couple of months to finish my home gym set up. I looked and looked on the internet and to my disappointment, were the outrageous prices. Ranging from $1700 to as much as $4000. I was extremely skeptical of this machine on Walmart's website. So, I found this leg press and checked it out. I read the reviews and they were not good. I saw that the website had it weighing in at 250-some-odd pounds. The first thing I thought of was ... its super cheaply made. I moved on. As I searched the internet, I found three companies online that were selling strangely the same exact type of leg press, slight variations in their design but same exact dimensions with linear bearing set up for $2900 to as much as $4000. I thought, could it be? those stated that their leg press was a whopping 500 pounds. Which told me heavy duty steel construction material. Curious with this leg press, I went back to the Walmart website. This time, it was reduced to a clearance price of $550 with free shipping. I said to myself, screw it and bought it. When it was delivered, it came in a giant wooden crate, and it was definitely not 250 pounds. We got it off the truck and the invoice stated that it weighed just over 600 pounds. When I unpacked this monster, I was so happy with the quality of its build that I was like giving myself hi fives. I have to mention that one of the bearings were no good. I measured and located new linear bearings from a company in Southern California and bought four for $29 each. Who cares, for $550 bucks, I'm good. This baby is a commercial machine. 8 Gauge material and 1/4-inch plate steel. I guess this was a return, it did not have a mark on it when I got it. Most of the bad reviews were from the terrible assembly manual. You have to have a mechanical inclination coupled with a good dose of common-sense. Because if not, you will fail. There was an assembly video I was able to watch from the third company I had visited for this press, and it was so straight forward that I don't know how anyone could screw this up. You need some Braun as well. The factors I mentioned are paramount in order to achieve assembly success. I fortunately have all the attributes mentioned. If you look hard enough the diamond in the rough will appear. in this case it is a very shiny diamond. Thanks, Walmart, for coming through and saving me literally thousands of dollars.

Balance Form Leg Press Machine

marco January 13, 2026

it does what it supposed to do, instructions look like it was written by a 5 year old. the left side spotter arm did nof reach the sled , only the right side which could be a safefy issue, so i shim the left side so it will fit/touch like the right side. other than that it good. for the price you won't find a leg press machine. i just wanted to switch between squats and leg press.

The leg press machine works as expected and arrived on time. But it has scratches all over it - it looks terrible. The powder coat finish is a mess. As the look doesn't affect the performance, I got an amazing deal on it, and ********* pounds to try and return it would be a terrible hassle, I'm keeping it even though the look is poor.

Not bad, but one key issue.

Andrew December 6, 2025

Not bad overall, especially for $639, however one extremely pertinent issue: the left safeties do not hold any weight from the weight carriage as they sit slightly lower than the right safeties. This is apparently a common issue - just have a look on YouTube. There is a fix that involves inserting several washers on the left safety rod to fix the misalignment. Not looking forward to having to do this. I have also emailed the company's support email for what's it worth. Will see what they say. Aside from that issue: - this is heavy, especially the weight sled - it's a two person minimum assembly - the instructions are horrible, but it's pretty common sense to figure out how assemble - look on YouTube for assembly tips - such as removing guide rods and inserting into sled and then back into position - the welds are pretty average - the quality of certain parts is low - eg: weight horns are hollow, and have some slight jiggle to them even when the attachment bolts are tightened down For $639 would I buy it again? Yes probably. Though they need to fix the safeties misalignment. Would I buy it for $899, $1199 or $1499? Probably not. Get this on sale and be prepared for the safety misalignment and you'll be happy with what you get for the money.

i took the risk. it is nice overall however I had an issue with a part upon arrival. it took 2 months to get the part to even use the machine. i would have given 5 with the quality overall with the price.

Arrived damaged

Jonathan July 26, 2025

This thing arrived damaged. Did not catch the damaged part until all of it was out together, and found out the ball bearings were damaged. Reached out to their customer service and I'm just being ignored, it's been like 4 days now, waiting for a reply. Luckily Walmart is replacing the entire thing. Just sucks that this one tiny damaged part is gonna make me disassemble the entire thing, return it, wait for a new one, and then have to reassemble this thing again

DO NOT BUY

jacob July 26, 2025

DO NOT BUY 1.) horrible instructions. Took hours to assemble and reassemble due to poor instructions. 2.) bad bearings. The bearings on the slider rail immediately failed, rolling elements (ball bearings) fell out during assembly and the guide rail only has a “stick slip” friction to it, it is not smooth at all. 3.) scratches and poor quality. The machined components had scratches, sticker was peeling off, even the welds were poor (I'm a manufacturing engineer, I know product quality when I see it). 4.) overall blocky feel to it, not very space conserving (but that is the trade off to getting a high weight capacity machine I suppose. 5.) a bolt was missing for the seated back pad. I WILL BE RETURNING!
