for the fraction of the cost of a concept 2 rower. you really can't pass this up especially if you train at home and don't want to spend a ton of money. it's just one tension but you can adjust the damper on the machine for wind resistant. I enjoy it so far.

Better than expected Assembly was easy. (A couple screws to attach the legs). The quality of materials does not seem cheap. Design and construction like a famous brand rower . The frame is made of steel, strong, does not swing. Polyurethane coated seat, comfortable, rollers on bearings. Footrest - adjustable. The chain is chrome plated. Shock cord - 1/4 in elastic with good braiding. Flywheel - balanced and there is no vibration during workout. Bearings - good quality and available on amazon if needed. I am now trying to contact the customer support for technical support and the possibility of ordering spare parts. If the support is successful, I can recommend for purchase. I will write an additional review.

Assembly Woes: A notable drawback during assembly is the extended slide rail. It was hard fitting it through the foot holders. This step required some patience to navigate through the struggle successfully. Build and Design: Once past the assembly hurdles, the machine feels sturdy and reliable, consistent with most of BalanceFrom products. Unfortunately, there are some quality control issues, such as a damaged bearing cover cap and a missing nut in the package. These issues are inconvenient but still a cheaper rower. Monitor Features: While the rowing machine delivers on most fronts, the display monitor leaves something to be desired. It's basic and lacks color or backlighting, making it hard to read data during workouts in low-light conditions. An upgrade in this area would significantly be nice. Performance: In use, the machine provides a solid and smooth rowing experience. It's a good fit for those familiar with high-end rowers but who want a budget-friendly option for their home gym. Despite minor hiccups in assembly and display, it holds up well in delivering an effective workout. The resistance is similar to the concept 2, the other reviews of people complaining of resistance is because they are not familiar with damper settings. I am not using it for long rows, just crossfit style workouts. Summary: The BalanceFrom Rowing Machine presents a great value with a few notable caveats. If you're ready to tackle a challenging setup and can overlook a lackluster monitor, you're in for a durable and rewarding fitness machine that mimics the feel of pricier models.

It was easy to assemble and move around, but the rubber pads on the bottom came off pretty easily and needed to be glued on again (easily fixed). The rollers don't glide as smoothly as they could, it isn't enough to ruin a workout it adds some noise and some brief resistance that's annoying.

Cheaply made. Chain broke during first use after 15 minutes of rowing. Seat movement is not smooth. Zero stats if possible. Returning tomorrow.
