I stumbled upon this on different sites and read so many positive reviews. I was dealing with some terrible under-boob chafing that looked red and irritated every time I reapplied something a few times a day. It was even worse on my belly button (aka apron), and it started bleeding every time I cleaned off the old stuff. That's when I discovered Balmex, and it truly lives up to the hype. It's a pretty thick, creamy product, but not so thick that it feels like a paste. After cleaning the area, I applied it right away. The next morning, the redness was gone, and the skin damage was 75% better on the under-boob and the belly folds were no longer bleeding! Today, day 2, I cleaned the areas, and both are much better. The under-boob part is almost completely gone! I've tried cortisone cream, Metamusil chafing cream, powders, Desitin, and straight Zinc Oxide without any success. The cortisone cream helped with the itching, but it thins your skin with frequent use, which isn't ideal! You can apply this stuff with bare hands, but it doesn't come off easily with just one hand washing or tissues. To make it easier for me, I use medical gloves to apply it and baby oil on a cotton ball to remove it. This stuff is amazing! I didn't have to reapply it every few hours. I wore it all day yesterday without any pain or itching driving me crazy! I'm a senior with extremely thin, now sensitive, skin, and this is so gentle on it! To be honest, the smell is the only thing I'm not a fan of. Zinc Oxide, which is in it, gives off a strong odor, so it's not my cup of tea. However, once applied and my body is dressed, people don't smell it on me.

This is the skin relief cream you want to go with if you are in need of applying a barrier for moisture in the fold areas of your body. It can get a bit messy applying it but it is well worth the trouble. This is my second time purchasing it since I was so happy with how well it worked for me personally.

This cream is the best I've ever used for extreme heat 🥵 rash. It heals the rash in the folds of the body and sticks in the area so it doesn't come back. The zinc in this product really heals the affected area. This is also an excellent price for this medicine.

Is the best for elderly people using diapers. my dad is 75 and he wears diapers and I habe been using this ointment for 3 years and no diaper rash at all.

Its super thick, a positive and a negative. You can apply it thinly if needed. Does a great job of protecting the skin. I have relied on it for awhile. It does come in a tube and it is more convenient. Cost more for not as much though.

Best barrier cream I've ever used on my patient. Easy to scoop up, nice consistency and hasn't had a diaper rash since I started using it. So much easier than cream in tubes where you can't get all of it out. Does not cake on patient.

I have a moisture problem because of incontinence this helped more than any thing. Messy but worth lt.

Excellent for seniors and especially for those of us who have sensitive skin it works so well that I use only use this product for specific purposes.

Needs a numbing agent in it so the irritation stops hurting as it is healing. Also, a real pain to get off the hands. Maybe some sort of applicator?
