The Medical Supply company stopped providing over patches for the G6 CGM when showering. These worked very well, waterproof as it states.
I'm an LVAD patient and I have a pretty large dressing to cover. It takes a box of 4 to cover for a shower...BUT...this product is AMAZING!!! Has kept my LVAD dressing and driveline completely dry!!! I will be recommending this to my fellow VAD patients! Thanks!
This is OK for use in the shower, just don't soak it in the tub or scuff over it in the water. All it is, is a piece of water proof tape. At $1.25 for a 4" square of tape I would expect more, but there isn't anything that I have found that is any better.
I use this product a lot with my old delicate skin. My skin peels and bleeds with only a minor injury and takes weeks to heal. I am sensitive to most tapes but this one works well. However, I have a terrible time keeping a supply and cannot order it. What is the problem??? Please advise.
Unlike every other quality BandAid Ive used for 50 years, this one caused a rash to form. I did leave it on for a day + to hold the dressing in place. The film did keep most all of the water out but had limited adhesion to dressing pad it was sealing the edge of. So, it has limited use but, under favorable circumstances, should work. Just don't leave it on too long. The recommendation would come with the above qualifications.
We bought these for my husband to cover his port for dialysis, all it did was peal his skin off.. but didnt stay on during a shower
I have been caring for a third degree burn with another brand of transparent covers for two weeks without issue. When I saw this brand at the store, I decided to give it a try. After cleaning and covering my wound with gauze as normal, I attempted to cover the dressing with this cover. Unfortunately, I went through two covers that would not stick to my skin at all. Attempting to stretch and adhere to the back of my calf would not ever completely connect the sticky parts to my skin. I had to give up and go back to the store to get the original store brand I had been using.
