These boxes were just what I needed to complete my spring cleaning and donate to a local charity! They were affordable and sturdy. Assembly was simple. As I was cleaning out closets, drawers, and under beds, I labeled the boxes and filled them up. The handles in the boxes make them especially easy to carry and move around. Thank you, Walmart!
Excellent for files or moving boxes. Pretty easy to build, once you get the hang of it. Love the lids as they fit snug on the boxes. They stack nicely and hold up well, even with heavy file boxes on top of them. Sturdy, good quality boxes that make it easy for identifying at a distance. A bit pricey, however, the quality and ease of building them make up for it. Definitely recommend these DIY sturdy file/moving boxes.
I have a small home with little storage space, so necessarily, some things need to be in boxes. Used boxes of various shapes, sizes and condition are so unsightly and make your home look untidy and cluttered. I find, that nicely stacked, attractive boxes just make you look organized and being able to clearly mark the contents is a hugh benefit. I spent a long time online comparing prices and was shocked how some sights want more money for three boxes than I paid for the ten I ordered from Walmart, and not some cheap knock-offs, but the identical real things, sturdy and easy to assemble, Actually, I purchased 3 sets of 10 and came to enjoy putting them together. After the first one, it became so easy/peasy and the stack of ten took up little space so that I know I can whip up another in a minite when the need arrives. I am so pleased, and time and time again Walmart has the best prices and the best service.
I have used a multitude of these bankers boxes at home and at work for decades. I always keep extras on hand. I can store things in them permanently or just temporarily and then break the boxes back down to be used again later. They remain sturdy and easy to assemble/disassemble after repeating the process several times. The black lines on either end of the boxes are easy for labeling the box and there is space to re-label the box several times, if necessary. I was glad to find this package of 10 boxes at $2 a box, that could be delivered to my home along with my grocery order. I haven't opened this package of boxes yet, but I've had almost no problems with quality of the boxes over the years no matter what I pay for them or where I buy them. I think overall it's become a little more tricky to detach the lids from the boxes without tearing at the box or the lid, but I know to go slowly and use two hands to gently detach the lid from the box using the perforation marks. I think that seam may not be as well perforated anymore to keep the lid from tearing off accidentally. These boxes are surprisingly strong. I've stored and moved a lot of things in these boxes including books and files and I've never had a failure where the box falls apart or rips. FYI I always choose the least expensive version. Each seller usually has a selection of bankers boxes that are labeled as less sturdy to more sturdy, but I've never found it necessary to buy the more expensive boxes.
I am striking while the desire to (re)organize my house is hot. These boxes are exactly what I need to help get the job done. They are good value, good size -- and also very easy to assemble. Beware: once you have these, you have no excuse to procrastinate about organizing.
I would have given this product a full 5 stars in every category, but the review page insisted that I rate the product on a category called "Drawers". I had to give it only one star in that category because at least this particular style of Bankers Box does not have any drawers, although I suppose you could put it in a gigundo pair of "drawers" or you could say that since the outside of the box is mostly plain white, people who are "drawers" could scribble all over it if they want to, perhaps even making a very complete list of what is inside! I will be buying more of these very versatile, easy to assemble, sturdy and convenient to use/reuse and easy-to-break-down-and-store-for-reuse boxes despite the lack of having any "drawers".
1. Some of the boxes were difficult to assemble because the folding ends of those boxes were not cut squarely and didn't fit into place without significant effort, and 2. One of the boxes was damaged at some point in the distribution or delivery processes.
Keep in mind that these are the basic version, so a little thinner and a little smaller than you might be used to, but that's good. It stops these from getting too heavy. It helps organize rooms, not just paperwork. Assembly was easy, after the first one. Wallpaper glued to the top helps make them prettier and easier to dust. If they are on a shelf without anything on top, they can also be used on their side, with the lid opening out toward you. This reduced dusting and made the shelf look nicer, while making it easier to get in and out of the box regularly.
Bonus box not included with my purchase
Instructions for assembly are ridiculous -- make Nonsensec.Have to go to YouTube to find out how to assemble.Just absurd for a company to market a product with indecipherable instructions . Also appear flimsy . Mine are headed for the dumpster because why waste time trying to figure out how to assemble cheap, flimsy boxes .Definite F for this product
