Banquet chicken is the best, and plenty of chicken here. The corn is very good, wish there was more of it. The mac and cheese are very good, wish that Walmart sold the banquet mac and cheese meals. Price is great. I can afford these.
I popped this Banquet Chicken Strips with Mac and Cheese into the microwave expecting a simple lunch… but what emerged was a quest. A call to greatness. A frozen meal that said: “Take a bite, champion. Today, you dine like a legend.” The chicken strips? Golden. Crispy. Braver than any nugget I've ever known. They didn't just get microwaved—they trained in the arena of heat and came out victorious. The mac and cheese? A cheesy lava river of comfort and triumph. Every forkful whispered: “You've survived Monday. You've earned this.” Halfway through eating, I swear I heard an eagle screech in the distance. Might've been my imagination. Might've been destiny. THE BREAKDOWN: ✔️ Chicken: Crispy warriors ✔️ Mac %26 cheese: Creamy morale boost ✔️ Convenience level: HEROIC ✔️ Satisfaction level: LEGENDARY FINAL VERDICT: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This isn't just a frozen meal—it's a microwave-powered miracle in 8.9 oz. Banquet didn't make food. They forged a feast. 🏆🍗🧀
This was bought for great grandson he ate up the sides but sorry he would not eat the chicken, because they were not chicken nuggets, lol. I ended up eating them and I found them very good, tender and crunchy. I have bought this again for myself. This meal is good and just enough for my lunch. Hey it's good and the price is great.
My daughter swears by these. They're the only fried chicken she has found that stand up to the microwave to still be crispy. Seems I have noticed her doing the veg for a bit first then putting the chicken back in? Anyway, she LOVES these and she's a connoisseur of fried chicken.
My 6 yr old loves them, which in itself is a real win. But more importantly, my husband likes them; he will eat them for dinner. No cooking for me set on a pretty plate and there ya go. Flavors are good enough, not the greatest, so I am the snob in the family, but it works for them and my bank account, How is this not a win win win?
I eat tv dinners almost every day. I watch for high protein, low salt, taste and affordability. This banquet dinner meets all of this criteria. Because of the price increases on almost everything, I was looking for alternatives. I was surprised at the amazing taste of this dinner, at a very reasonable cost!
A really good meal for the price. A quick fix for lunch. Th only downside is that it is contained in plastic which is really thin and really not good for microwaves. To minimize toxins, use a paper towel on the top folded, this way the clear plastic will not have chemicals baked in to your meal. Still the meal itself is in plastic however this will help reduce toxins. A good meal for a good price.
Wow, this is early Sunday morning. It is 12:50 AM Sunday morning, 17 May. I had that for dinner on Saturday last night. I finally tried it not bad. It was very good.
Maybe I just got a bad one, but this was so bad it actually made me sick like an hour later. The nuggets tasted weird, but I thought maybe it was just being a frozen meal. The corn tasted fine and the mac and cheese was typical for a frozen meal. It's possible I might have just got one that was bad, but I won't ever take my chances on it again.
Seriously, how are y'all rating this a 4.3? Just look at the pictures I've attached. The 'chicken' strips look fat but if you squeeze them they are EMPTY inside. They consist of a thick doughy coating with just a few shreds of chicken inside. PATHETIC. I know it's a budget meal, but I would rather buy a $6 bag of 30oz chicken nuggets than to ever give this crap to my child again. I could make 5 servings of chicken nuggets that AREN'T hollow inside, for $1.25 per serving instead of paying $1.50 for this nasty frozen meal. I could buy $1.50 box of deluxe mac and cheese and make several servings with that as well, for $0.25 per meal While we're at it, let's buy $1 can of corn or bag of steamable corn. For $8.50 you can make at least SIX of these meals. Honestly, I get it, frozen meals are convenient. But these hollowed out chicken strip breadings just have me annoyed right now.
