Don't bait and switch the product, please.

I have no issue with the chicken dinner. I do have an issue in that >>>the item is pictured as Cowboy Chicken BUT, I received Roasted Chicken twice.<<< Please correct this oversight, Walmart Corp. The Cowboy Chicken cooks perfectly the 1st time. In the Roasted Chicken, I had to microwave it numerous times to ensure that it was cooked thoroughly. Opening it to see if it was cooked inside each time. The meal could have a vegetable and a dessert. It's ok. I add my own. The addition of extra sides will cost extra. I hope when this is corrected, the price will stay the same.

Okay I do a lot of reviews good and bad. There as a older single person I don't really care to do home cooking anymore unless I have others around to feed at the time it's just not worth all the effort LOL. So on that note I have tried so many TV dinners. While there have been some that I fed to my dog instead or we're so bad that I put in the trash this one I ate every little bite lol. I got it to try had it in my freezer for a week or so finally decided to pull it out. While I have tried so many TV dinners I kind of know little tricks on cooking some things not following their cooking instructions because I wanted to turn out as good as possible. For this dinner I started out following their directions for the first part which is removed the cover from the chicken and cook for 4 minutes I think it was. I did that and took the chicken out and put it into my very hot air fryer on broil to finish. After a few minutes I had some very crispy skin and not a dried up mess that nobody wants. My only disappointment was it was pretty much skinless and I like to have the skin on my chicken so I can crisp it that's one of my favorite parts. The chicken itself is well seasoned really nice tasting and moist! The mashed potatoes as I do with all mashed potatoes that come in any TV dinner I uncovered to finish cooking. I always taste to see if they need salt because sometimes they really do this was seasoned very well I did not need to add anything other than a tiny salt and I added some pepper and cooked it for the remainder of the time uncovered so I wouldn't have mashed potato soup y'all know what I mean. You have to uncover the mashed potatoes to get them to thicken up well. I just bought this dinner again that's how much I liked it. It is worth giving it a shot if one night you need to grab something really quick to feed yourself or the kids and know that they taste good if cooked properly I will add.

Fast %26 easy meal

Thomas July 13, 2025

Fast %26 easy meal, a bachelor's friend. I think this is the best of the 3 Banquet MEGA Meats, but the other 2 are close. Fantastic TV diner, all that is needed is to open a can Carrots or some type of greens.

We were quite surprised by this chicken, finding it extraordinarily good - close to delicious, compared to several we've tried, asking, exactly what are we eating. This was the real deal.

Tender, juicy chicken. We love the spices on the chicken. Only thing I'd do to change it, is add salt to the potatoes to your liking. Also, I just vent the chicken. I don't uncover it while it cooks.

Good but needs some help before cooking.

Larry June 29, 2025

I like this frozen dinner, but the mashed potatoes are terrible! Just a cheap instant potato mess! The chicken is good if you add some garlic salt and spray them with cooking spray on the pieces before cooking. As far as the mashed potatoes go, I add a bit of butter on them and add some garlic powder-makes them eatable!

This cost almost $5.00. What a waste. I got 2 pieces that looked like a wing had been separated. Super tiny! The mashed potatoes were a small portion. I put butter on the potatoes and BBQ sauce on the chicken to help it. It did not help much. I felt like I got ripped off.

NOT FIT FOR CONSUMPTION BY ANY LIVING CREATURE!

AllyCat September 4, 2025

Normally, I wouldn't write a review for a microwavable meal. We all know no one is getting these because it's their favorite food or something. We buy microwavable foods because they're fast, easy, %26 usually inexpensive. There's really nothing else to be said about a typical microwave meal. THIS garbage on the other hand . . . This was SO TERRIBLE that it'd be downright irresponsible not to say something! I am not a fan of microwavable chicken on the best day. So, I wasn't expecting much. I did expect it to be edible, at least. The mashed potatoes were like wet cardboard scraps with bits of green plastic that I assume were meant to be chives. I think eating baking soda %26 Elmer's glue would've been more tolerable. The "chicken" if that's what you want to call it . . . It was half rubber %26 half rawhide. If it did actually come from a bird, I can't imagine it was even a starling, let alone a chicken. The thigh was a total of about 2 inches wide %26 1 inch thick. (That's probably being too generous.) The leg/drumstick looked %26 felt like it was made out of something close to Jell-O %26 sand. The texture alone was enough to make me gag. Everything including the first bite of the chicken %26 potatoes . . . It ALL ended up in the trash. Nothing about this is fit for consumption by any living creature.

I really wanted to like this meal, but it was extremely disappointing. The chicken was greasy, but the couple of bites I was able to eat had a good flavor. There were more potatoes than expected but I had to cook about 5 minutes longer than suggested. The chicken had a lot of gristle. This meal in my opinion was a complete waste of money. I do not recommend.
