If you are buying Baokaler cordless tools there is an advantage in owning more than one - I have their weed trimmer, small leaf blower/vacuum and this chainsaw which all use the same fitting batteries. Some are 2AH, some are 3 AH but they are interchangeable and that means that if several batteries die you are still good, an important note because at this time I can find no replacement batteries being sold for this brand and replacements would cost as much as a complete tool kit with batteries included. The saw kit looks like a mish-mash of different model's parts and it has two upgrades, the chain tensioner is now a knurled knob instead of having to use a screwdriver so the screwdriver in the kit has no use here. The bar tightening clamp formerly required a wrench but they have upgraded to a convenient friction wing nut that holds sufficiently and needs no tool. The kit includes nice adjustable safety glasses, a must when operating even a small chain saw. The tension will have to be adjusted after the first 15 seconds of cutting and again after 30 seconds as the new bar and chain are broken in, that is normal and easy chain adjustments make the job smoother. They provide a really tiny bottle of light oil which is not right for filling the reservoir, it is for lubing fresh chains and bar tip rollers only. The bars seem to be teflon coated, a plus. I tried cutting a pine 2x4 first and it was obvious the saw cuts unevenly, the kerf sways to one side which could be caused by an incorrectly sharpened chain. It will bind up with any long deep cuts. So if you stick with pruning branches of 1 1/2 inches thick or less it will be OK. No sharpening file is included, it is probably good that they include two 8 inch chains as well as a 6 inch bar and chain. You can get a lot of light pruning done before you need to sharpen or replace a chain. The oil reservoir to keep the chain lubed is going to require several ounces of any cheap fresh motor oil you have available. You could get by with spraying the bar tip and chain with a spray lubricant frequently during use. The included carrying case is one of the items which is not custom to this model and since it is tedious work to install a chain and bar you will want to leave it on the saw - that means the tool will not fit in the box at all when assembled. Please recycle the case which has a recycling code on it. All the parts and accessories will fit in a ziplock bag. The chain's safety guard and the hand guard and glasses make this a reasonably safe tool but I'd use heavy leather gloves and wear long sleeves when operating this. I noticed that the motor emits sparks when starting up but it ran smoothly during my test cuts. If Baokaler expands their line of tools to include a work light and cordless drill a collection of their tools will be even more versatile. My 5 star rating includes considering the low price for this kit. Some other uses are for ice carving or carving soft materials for art projects.

The product is very easy to operate. It small but it does the job well. I used it the second that got it. I cut my shrubs and my little small tree limbs in the yard. You can use it for any small projects around the house. The operation is pretty easy and light fumes . It will not make you stop the job. This machine is powerful. I love it. I recommend it very highly.

Haven't used this yet but it seems like it will be great for trimming small branches and bushes around the house. Definitely doesn't look like it will handle a large tree branch but I believe it'll work great for smaller ones.

This is a really nice chainsaw. It's loaded with everything you need in a nice case. Powerful for those small limbs. It even comes with chain oil. This is a great purchase.

this saw works well if used properly. it cuts smaller branches and sticks quite well. definitely can get thru larger diameter ones but it does bog down a bit and damaging it can be a concern. it's pretty powerful overall. the two batteries are great so you can always have one charged for backup. it was a pain to assemble though honestly. patience is your friend here. price was great. just a handy small power tool for outdoor yardwork. good for anyone not wanting, or unable to wield a larger chainsaw for a small project

The mini, cordless, chainsaw has 4" and 6" blade attachments and chains. It comes with two battery packs, gloves, and safety glasses. It works good on 1" dowels and other small projects but I don't know about larger pieces. I'm sure it would be perfect for trimming hedges and taking off small tree branches.

Pros -Easy assembly -Two chains - Cons NO POWER! Looks good but doesn't cut well

My 45 yr old engineer son assembled it and as he used it the chain came off 3 times even though it was screwed on tightly each time. I am returning it!
