Bar-S Classic Bologna was what I ordered because it was a less expensive "thin" cut bologna that was available. It is packaged well and easy to open and the slices have the red band to remove like the thin slices do. I just personally don't care for the taste of this brand as well as I do the Gwaltney Original Chicken Bologna but that is just my own personal taste preference. This one is not bad and I do like it was not a thick cut.
I know some people don't care for bologna. If you have never tried it I think you should and then decide if you like it. It is less expensive than some lunchmeats. I love fried bologna sandwiches,
this product if you're looking for a cheap and quick and easy little girl together or even the throwing a pan and Friday in the mornings with some eggs is very good recommended
I was born in Oklahoma. I grew up around my Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles on a dirt road, called, "IXL." I am so happy to have drank out of well with a laddle. We bathed in basins on the porch . I will always be grateful. This brings me to this food. We ate what we had. I teach my kids the same. I fry and season hot dogs. I am not embarrassed to say so.....this is how we grew up......
My grandkids had never eaten bologna and they are 11 yrs old growing twin boys and they can eat a lot. I buy a different brand of bologna for myself and it's more expensive so I bought the boys this brand and they liked it a lot better than my brand and it last longer because the slices are thicker... So now that's this is the only bologna they want and I gladly buy it for them.
Bar S Bologna is one of those easy, reliable options that works when we want a quick meal without fuss. The slices have a smooth texture and a savory flavor that's just right, not too strong, not bland, and it's perfect for a simple sandwich, a fried snack, or even rolled up with a little cheese for a small treat. What I appreciate most is its consistency and affordability. Every time I buy it, the flavor and quality are the same, which makes it easy to plan quick meals for my husband, my son, and me. It's not something we eat every day, but it's a go-to when we want something simple, tasty, and satisfying without spending a lot. If you're looking for a classic, dependable bologna that works for occasional family meals or snacks, Bar S is a great choice.
It's bologna. If you like bologna, it's pretty good. Most of the more expensive deli bologna is too salty or has too much garlic. Bar-S is great with some slices of Great Value sharp cheddar cheese. Tried the beef Bar S but had too much cloves or aromatic (perfumy) smell/spice/herbs.
I mean you get what you pay for it's a cheap way to feed the family it's not the best hot dog but if it's the price you're paying for it The Taste is good I'm not saying you'll dislike the taste of it because it does taste good and for the money you're paying for it you're getting exactly what you're paying for a way to fill your belly on low budget I would recommend it
It is not Kahan's Bologna, but it is not terrible, and it actually beats out some higher end name brands which I will not mention here as I am rating this brand but cost point it is affordable it may not be good for you but hey sometimes you just have to have a fried Bologna and egg sandwich cooks up well I prefer the thinner sliced but the thick really good for that cold cut sandwich
I usually order only Oscar Mayer but out of stock so I selected this Bar S brand. I haven't had to eat this brand in decades and I forgot just how mushy, smelly and bad it tastes. I want ever get this brand again. But alls not lost... my dog will eat it for treats 😆
