Bar-S Classic Corn Dogs, 16-Count

My 4 teen kids love these to snack on during the summer and after school. We work so they need something that doesn't make a huge mess. The oldest one works too and he likes a quick snack before work and eats supper when he comes home. They all like alternate between these corn dogs, burritos, ramen, cereal, and sandwiches.

This brand is the only frozen corn dog brand to put in your freezer. Trust me after five kids and grandkids, I tried to save money buying a different brand....awful. You can count on these corn dogs to be quick in the microwave and delicious on their plate.

I bought a different kind of corndogs before these not realizing they were 'chicken' and not beef. They weren't bad but once I tried these, I wouldn't go back to the others. They breading has a sweet taste and the dog is just better! My favorite brand of hotdogs as well.

I like these corn dogs—they're cheaper that SF and I think the dogs taste better-they're firmer. One caveat: preparation. I would NEVER nuke or deep fry these! And, I bake at 425, NOT 350, for 13-15 minutes, tuning once. I like my corn dog to be a little crispy on the outer layer. Baking at 350 leaves the breading too soft and not quite done enough in the middle. Lastly, I roll a half paper towel around them and squeeze lightly to remove excess oil before I eat them.

My walmart doesn't carry state fair corndogs except the beef ones, but who can afford beef anything these days. The regular state fair has more pork in theirs than Bar S but these are still better than all the mushy chicken corndogs from others and the walmart brand. So thank you Bar S for putting pork in your corndogs instead of all chicken.

Saw corn dogs, figured why not? I consider 3 / 5 a neutral review. They weren't 'bad' but they weren't good either. It was rather bland and simple. I didn't expect a lot for a corn dog costing around 50 cents a pop. But you are going to need to pair it with something, even if its just ketchup.

This brand reminded me of my childhood and that's exactly where they need to stay!! From now on,when I am feeling nostalgic, I'll just treasure the memory. Oh my gosh, the hot dogs were ridiculously hard, not enjoyable to eat!! The breading didn't taste bad at first, just give it a second!! The breading has a horrible aftertaste!! I rarely ever give a negative review but, I am sorry they definitely deserved it!!

I usually get the State Fair corndogs, but they were sold out the last time, so I decided to try these. They were absolutely awful. As soon as I took them out of the oven, the smell was overwhelming and not in a good way. But I decided to try and eat them despite the strong smell. I couldn't finish the corndog, even covered in mustard. The smell combined with the taste just wasn't at all appetizing. Afterward, my clothes smelled like the corndogs and I literally had to change clothes, wash my hands and face, and put the trash in the garage to try and get rid of the smell in my house. I won't buy these again.

This brand of corn dogs is so bad we threw them away after tasting them. There's a weird, unpleasant metallic taste, too salty, dry as the Sahara Desert. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth. The hot dog itself looked like they used mutated meat! When heated (ACCORDING TO THEIR INSTRUCTIONS) the hot dogs shrivel up, some areas are hard as a rock and what's left, if any of the breading has separated from the hot dog Quality Control was lacking when they packaged this! Half of the breading is missing, the others are missing chunks of the breading!
