Sometimes having a Bologna sandwich just hits the spot. On toast and fresh lettuce as well sliced tomatoes. Remember when you went to school as a kid.? Bologna was pretty standard in the 50's and 60's. It brings back memories packing the lunch box. Go back in time and have a Bologna sandwich.
This bologna imo taste just about as well as most other brands. it jas plenty of flavor and taste pretty good fried to make sandwiches. I buy a pack or so most weeks and i always finish it. If you like bologna, I think most people would be fine with it.
This is absolutely the "best" flavored bologna on the market. Thick slices only help to intensify the flavor. I use this in many ways - diced into scrambled eggs, open face sandwich - or closed sandwich with lettuce, pickle, cheese. Cannot beat this for flavor - value - and versatility.
I love this bologna and it helps that it is made in my home state. Now, I will have to admit, I constantly battle with my weight and things I dont't allow myself to eat very often are high fat foods, a lot of pasta, potatoes, breads, and almost anything where the base is flour. I am sorry to admit that bologna falls into one of these categories, but when I eat it, I will eat it cooked almost anything where way, with or without mustard, mayo and cheese and or bar-b-que. I love it cooked over an open fire and partially blackened! I also like the thickness, it's a good source of protein and can be used in wraps or a salad!
I don't normally eat bologna, but my husband was brought up eating fried bologna sandwiches and loves them. He would come home from Walmart with the expensive Oscar Meyer brand. Which if you know, Oscar Meyer, your thick bologna is quite expensive. I came home with this brand and he liked it better I love the smell of fried bologna sandwiches yes my father used to have them all the time so I'm so glad my husband eats them too. We always have a package of this in our refrigerator.
I purchased this bologna years back for my kids in the summer months. I now purchase it to make homemade bologna salad and it always turns out deilicious. Not only does it taste good the price doesn't seem to go up much like other brands or does it stay the same for less ounces. It sure drives you crazy when you try to shop anymore. I hope Bar S keeps on selling it by the pound!
Bologna gets a bad rap. but this thicker cut is very tasty. Quick sandwich on bread with your favorite condiment then add a little onion, banana peppers, lettuce, or whatever isn't your favorite add-on. Your have a quick sandwich... Don't forget you can fry or grill Bologna too!!!
Bar S brand is as good as any other product by taste, texture, and definitely by price. I prefer the thick slice over the thinner deli slice simply because it gives me more flavor to sink my teeth into. I don't have to fuss with grabbing 2-3 slices for a decent sandwich, 1 slice of these bad boys and you got it made! Make one for yourself today!!
Bar S thick sliced bologna has been one of my favorites since I discovered it 15 years ago. The thicker slices have a much better mouth feel, and stand up to the condiments I load onto my sandwich. It makes the sandwich more special and satisfying, even if it's just bologna.
I got a grocery order delivered to me because I'm in the middle of nowhere and this is what they delivered to me after not delivering part of my order. There's holes in the package and it is brown!!! This is gross. I live over 30 minutes away from a store and can't make it back in what a waste and disgusting. Thanks Walmart
