This bologna imo taste just about as well as most other brands. it jas plenty of flavor and taste pretty good fried to make sandwiches. I buy a pack or so most weeks and i always finish it. If you like bologna, I think most people would be fine with it.
Sometimes having a Bologna sandwich just hits the spot. On toast and fresh lettuce as well sliced tomatoes. Remember when you went to school as a kid.? Bologna was pretty standard in the 50's and 60's. It brings back memories packing the lunch box. Go back in time and have a Bologna sandwich.
I love this bologna and it helps that it is made in my home state. Now, I will have to admit, I constantly battle with my weight and things I dont't allow myself to eat very often are high fat foods, a lot of pasta, potatoes, breads, and almost anything where the base is flour. I am sorry to admit that bologna falls into one of these categories, but when I eat it, I will eat it cooked almost anything where way, with or without mustard, mayo and cheese and or bar-b-que. I love it cooked over an open fire and partially blackened! I also like the thickness, it's a good source of protein and can be used in wraps or a salad!
People won't buy this because of the name and might think it's an off brand. I honestly thought that too until I tried it. I was surprised to find out that it tastes as good as any brand name that I have eaten. It's a good choice and the low price is a great bonus! I highly recommend it!
I love bologna sandwiches and this is my favorite bologna to use. For the price, it is well worth it. The quality is good, good enough for me that I don't need the name brand. I think it is just as good quality, maybe a bit less quality than the name brand, but you can't beat the price. I love how thick it is, too. My favorite bologna sandwich is: 2 slices of bread, 1 slice thick bologna, mayonnaise, and crunched up original lays chips. You'll love it.
I purchased this bologna years back for my kids in the summer months. I now purchase it to make homemade bologna salad and it always turns out deilicious. Not only does it taste good the price doesn't seem to go up much like other brands or does it stay the same for less ounces. It sure drives you crazy when you try to shop anymore. I hope Bar S keeps on selling it by the pound!
Bar S brand is as good as any other product by taste, texture, and definitely by price. I prefer the thick slice over the thinner deli slice simply because it gives me more flavor to sink my teeth into. I don't have to fuss with grabbing 2-3 slices for a decent sandwich, 1 slice of these bad boys and you got it made! Make one for yourself today!!
Bar S thick sliced bologna has been one of my favorites since I discovered it 15 years ago. The thicker slices have a much better mouth feel, and stand up to the condiments I load onto my sandwich. It makes the sandwich more special and satisfying, even if it's just bologna.
My wife likes to fix it without frying, but not me. I'm a southern boy. I want my bologna fried with a thick slice of onion and a teeny bit mayonnaise. You can throw a slice of cheese on but the fried bologna either thick cut or several same slices starting to turn up and burn on the ends a little bit on toasted bread. Glass of milk, maybe a salty snack with it. Heaven also like it fried with eggs for breakfast now and then.
I got a grocery order delivered to me because I'm in the middle of nowhere and this is what they delivered to me after not delivering part of my order. There's holes in the package and it is brown!!! This is gross. I live over 30 minutes away from a store and can't make it back in what a waste and disgusting. Thanks Walmart
