This birthday Barbie is a truly beautiful doll with an unusual and very pretty layered pastel gown. I am a Barbie collector, and don't usually purchase the birthday or Christmas Barbie dolls, but this one was so striking that I felt that it was worth purchasing. I received this beautiful birthday Barbie as a product review for my Granddaughter, whose birthday is very soon and she will turn 7. Her face was so lit up when she opened the box ! The dress is just so pretty and soft. What is really great is it came with a clear stand so she can be standing on her own to be admired when not playing with her. This is her favorite Barbie so far and I am happy that she was able to get this for her and will keep the box for future as it came with an authenticity paper. What a great Barbie to celebrate a birthday with, my daughter is so excited to have this Barbie for her 4th birthday. This was my first time getting a high fashion Barbie for my daughters (ages 5 and 8) They both gasped at how beautiful the Barbie Birthday Wishes doll looked when we opened the box and were excited to play with her. Her dress was very detailed and chic. Unfortunately, they did not play with her for very long. I think this doll would be beautiful as a collector's piece, but my daughters didn't seem to know what to do with her. My 3 year old daughter loved this special birthday Barbie. She likes to play "birthday party" so she loved the fancy dress. I was impressed with how much eye makeup was on this doll. Just a personal preference, I think it shows girls that they have to wear heavy makeup to dress up. But my daughter pays no attention to stuff like that, so it's not a big deal.
