Being diagnosed with T1D 40 years ago at the age of 10, I could only dream of having a T1D Barbie … never imagined one with an insulin pump. I purchased this for the inner child in me 💙. Thank you Mattel for the inclusivity for the kids who live with T1D and those of us who are kids at heart. The Barbie came in perfect condition.

I'm a Barbie collector and a Type 1 diabetic who uses a pump and cgms. Glad to see Mattel make a doll for kids with this difficult disease. T1D are always lumped into the same category as T2D. Both are very different and it's life altering for a child and adults

I gave this T1D Barbie to my granddaughter who's had T1D since age 12. She was so pleasantly surprised, and just LOVES this Barbie. I'm very thankful my local Walmart had it in stock at a good price in early December…plenty of time to wrap and send for Christmas. (I know I could've had one shipped to her, but I wanted to wrap it in my own holiday paper along with a special note).

Gift for Grand Nieces who are each T1D. Both were diagnosed at age 12, and are now in their early 20s. I have gifted them Barbies through the years and was very excited to see Matel manufacture these diabetes themed Barbies.

My 9yr old granddaughter who has Type 1 diabetes was thrilled to get it. It has the same medical devices as her. I love the concept inclusive dolls for the girls and boys who have different medical issues.

The Barbie is beautiful. I had no idea she was the diabetic barbie when I purchased her for my great granddaughter for Christmas. After a quick laugh at me it was decided that she was a Barbie for every little girl.

I was disappointed that the price basically tripled after Mattel announced the release of the doll. I do like the idea of supporting the Type 1 Diabetes community and bringing awareness to others. May all children affected with this challenging disease learn to successfully manage it with confidence.

My issue was not so much about the product ... it was about the delivery! First, it was not same day, as promised. More important, it was delivered to the wrong address about 300 yards from my office. The driver should have found the correct place; the address was correct. he/she simply left at another doorstep. Very annoying.
