Barbie Ken Fashionistas Doll Wearing Yellow "New York" Hoodie

I wanted this Ken and glad I got him at a good price of under $13. I love his outfit and cool hairstyle.

I bought this doll for my almost 5-year-old niece (and occasionally my 4-year-old nephew) to play family with in her new 3 story doll house. It was technically bought as a cheap replacement for her old ken doll that was missing clothes. I'm very satisfied with the quality of the doll since it can withhold rough housing from my nephew as he tends to play with it as if it were a superhero action figure-especially since I only paid under 5 bucks for it. There are 3 minor reasons why I gave this 4 stars instead of 5. The first is that her old ken doll had realistic hair that could be brushed whereas this one just has textured hard plastic for hair but I knew this before I made the purchase (as seen on the product image). The second reason is that while I love the hoodie (I'm a New Yorker) the hood is only sewn on to the sides of the shirt leaving a hole in the back which is visible when you lift the hoodie up. I think it was built this way so that the clothes can be easily taken off and washed but I thought it looked kind of weird especially since the 5-year-old said Ken could wear it as a mask (by putting his head through the hole at the back). The 3rd reason is that I noticed one of the shoes keeps falling off and I'm guaranteeing that they'll lose it in a matter of days. All things said, I am satisfied with the purchase and would purchase another within the collection if the price is right.

Its okay, but not like the original Ken dolls. Feels very cheap. The hood on the back was made with a hole in it so it looks dumb when its on his head.
