Barbie Styled by Marni Senofonte Trendy Topknot Doll

I think this doll is great. Other reviews referring to the hair apparently have never owned other dolls with up do styles, I learned long ago with one of the first French World Series dolls that the center of the scalp was without hair so the original hairstyle is best kept. No biggie.

I read the other reviews about the hole in the head where the bun is. Why would anyone in their right mind take the hair apart. I really like the doll. The outfit is spot on with today's style!!!

Bought this doll on sale to take out of the box for a Barbie shopping diorama. Interesting jean jacket with a giant B on the back. Hair should be left in its swirly red topknot as apparently there's a bald spot underneath discovered by owners undoing the hair. Don't know why anyone would comb out this unusually attractive hairstyle though. Boots are nondescript cheap looking.

I wanted to love this doll, but there are so many issues it is difficult to say whether I will keep or return her. The clothes are detailed as well as the makeup on the doll's face. The doll body is a complete other story. Right out of the box, I had to shave off extra plastic caked around her joints, which are very visible unlike previous dolls using the same body build. At first, this seems like a conscious choice made to make her slightly more mobile, but the doll is unable to sit down (she tips over without assistance). Her hair is a beautiful dark red with orange streaks, however, it seems Mattel wanted to cut corners, because there is NO hair in the middle of her head! Those of you who remove her hair from her bun will find you are unable to hide her bald spots from every single angle. There is nothing there, but a patchy paint job. I really wish I could give this doll a better review, but there are so many issues with the doll body, I'm not sure an exchange of doll would remedy any of these issues. Please, Mattel, these cost-cutting methods are ruining your brand. This doll would have been an absolute stunner if not for that.

I was looking forward to the release of this doll. What a disappointment. The doll is bald in the center. If you undo her bun she had a huge bald spot in the center (guess they wanted to cut cost). The face is nothing like the pictures shown. This doll is poorly made. It doesnt surprise me though I have been disappointed with all of my recent doll purchases.

The least hair of any doll I've ever bought. FAIL.
