It sets itself apart from the typical anniversary clock, while using the same movements with a different style pendulum. Though the wood is carved in China, its look is still traditional, and has a nice aroma to it. I bought this one because the styling is unique, and it was short enough to fit under a 17"" Meyda mica shade table lamp. The amber hue from the lamp makes the face of the clock, and the golden etching around the glass stand out, adding warmth. Only wish they could make these elegant clocks 31 day key wound instead of running on batteries. But then you wouldn't get your choice of 3 different chime settings.

This clock looks very beautiful and natural sitting on the fireplace shelf, at one noticeable end. The beautiful wood and glass give it a rich, but open look and the size is perfect for any shelf. It runs like clockwork! I would heartily recommend it as a wonderful gift which cannot be beaten,

The picture does nothing for the actual beauty and workmanship of this clock!!! Not to mention the elegant sound of the chimes. All of this and the ease of ordering and receiving it so securely packaged! Very,very happy! Thanks so very much!

I needed a clock for my mother-in-law that was attractive, has a beautiful sound, and will chime all night if wanted. This is perfect! If she wakes during the night,she can listen to the chime and know what time it is without putting on her glasses. Yet, the chime is so pretty that it does not disturb her sleep. It was the perfect gift!

She just loved it I was a little concerned this is something I really wanted to see it first. But I went with the discription and it was really better than I had hoped.

This clock was bought as a wedding gift. I wanted something that would be a long time reminder of this event. It is really beautiful and I am proud to give it as their gift.

Bought as a gift, mother-in-law thrilled. Searched several clocks, found this the most attractive cabinet. Slightly disappointed in the quality of the sound compared to a clock we have with a ""real"" chime as opposed to electronic. But you get what your price range can afford. Beautiful on the bookshelf with a plant and a small statue.

Glass front and sides are plastic. It looks pretty, keeps good time, but again, the sound is not clear (even with new batteries), could be louder.
