Bare Escentuals Beauty bareMinerals Eyecolor, 0.02 oz

I was in a "Smokey Eye" rut, always using variations of the same shades. I wanted a definite striking look, for a day time event that I, rightly, thought would last all night too. I ordered "Ell-If-I-Know", as ever, it arrived promptly. The Shimmer eyeshadow, is very striking. Don't assume such shades are the reserve of high fashion shoots, the cat walk, or make up artists. It's clearly not intended to be a subtle shade, but it's very wearable. I applied "Well Rested Face and Eye Brightener" and Prime Time eye lid primer. I used the narrow end of the precision eye brush to dab along lash line, and corner of my waterline. I've got (quite pale) blue eyes, but this makes them look as blue as I've ever seen them. Now I really know what make up artists mean, when they say "This will make your eye colour POP"!! I used neutral colours on the rest of the eye, so nothing detracted from this stunning blue,but also to make sure I didn't look OTT. The yield is incredible, I can't imagine ever needing to re-stock. Obviously, this means it's also great value for money. I think, this Summer will see me trying a few more BM "Shimmers", as I've re-discovered the transformation a splash of colour makes. Very happy customer. :-)

I first purchased this eyeshadow in the 'nude beach' colour several years ago on the recommendation of a friend with much darker skin than me (I am very pale) and so was skeptical if it would look right, as it suited her. However, it was money well spent. It is so easy to sweep on as a colour by itself or to layer with other eyeshadows. It is glittery enough to be used for an evening look (best when layered) but most commonly I wear it during the day as it is super easy and quick to use and comes out a very natural colour. I always get lots of compliments about how nice my eye makeup is when I apply this shadow. Best of all it has lasted for ages and ages; the pot contains loads of shadow and you don't need much each time because the colour is so strong. Given how long it has lasted it is certainly money well spent. Buy it!

I never associate BareMinerals with anything but really good foundation and tinted moisturisers. And considering I adore everything I've tried I thought I should branch out onto the eyes. Lemme tell you-amazing!! I firstly bought Queen Tiffany which is this lovely gold shimmer that matches any brown eyeshadow! I had about 101 compliments over this and everyone was always surprised it wasn't the usual that is heavily publicised etc. I recommend this highly!

Product is lovely and lasts but the pot is dreadful. Waste more than you use opening it. Please change it to your standard pot for every other loose powder you do with the closing insert.

I have used Bareminerals for more than 15 years and my favourite products are the original foundation, powder concealer, mineral veil and these fabulous eye shadow pots. I have used powder eyeshadows from many other high end brands and the pigments and depth of colour just don't compare. When I was younger, I loved Celestine, Bare Skin and Queen Tiffany amongst others, and still do. However, I am so disappointed that the range of shades, including darker, matte and the liner shades, is just not available any longer. I like a little shimmer or sparkle but, being on the wrong side of 50, I just can't carry off a full sparkly eye any more. I remember having a drawer full of these eyeshadows and literally being spoilt for choice (where have cocoa, tortoise, tigers eye, coffee bean, smoky quartz gone?). As other customers have said, these loose make up formulations set Bareminerals apart from all the rest... I really hope that they see sense and bring back the wider range of colours. If not, I fear many customers, including me, will be lost.

I am so disappointed at lack of loose eye shadows both in matt and shine. I have used Bare Minerals products for many years starting with the original foundation from QVC. Go back to basics or you will lose custom. Why do takeover firms have to change products that made the fortune in the first place? Change is not always good.

I really like the individual shadows and there used to be so much choice. I can't believe how few there are now and they are all shimmer!! I don't want a palette which I'll only use a fraction of. Please bring back matte!!

I have been using bare minerals for years and years and I have been extremely disappointed in the selection of eye shadows now available. I used to use the twin packs of eyeshadow but you no longer do them!! I have been holding off on buying a new duo as I hoped they would appear back on your site but alas, it never happened and I'm now sorry to say that I will be moving away from bare minerals to either Lancôme or Clarins over the coming weeks... you guys are not listening to your customers who have been loyal all these years, I'm only 43 years old and I had converted so many to your products but I'm afraid I will not be doing it anymore

I too am so disappointed you've literally got no colours in the loose eyeshadow anymore. I've looked again for drama after months of you not stocking it and have resided to the fact you've discontinued it despite them being so so popular. They have a shimmer that no pressed eyeshadow will ever match. I'll have to search for another mineral brand.
