Bare Ground 5 Gallon

Cloud09 January 15, 2014

The product work very well. Compare to a 50 lbs. rock salt price and function, the bare ground is a lot better. When the snow melt, it doesn't refreeze like rock salt. And if you have any type of 1 gallon sprayer, you're good to go. Just wish I could buy it in store instead of having to order it.

Used the deicer prior to the snow. Kept the snow level down and clear in some locations. Will buy again.

It Works!

DAMAR December 1, 2010

I have used this product for two years now and am very pleased with the results. It works good if applied before the snow for ice protection. It was also used after the snow fell and there was a layer of ice-pack on the drive. It worked VERY well when allowed to work over night on the packed ice. It is best when you shovel first and then apply to remove the remaining snow. I was really amazed at how well it removed the slip-n-slide potential from the walk. Use it as directed, don't be stingy but you don't have to over spray. It did nothing to the grass or plants from last year and it is on my next fill-up order. It does smell...but who cares! Use it and you won't be getting your nose that close to the sidwalk to smell it anyway.

EXCELLENT

DrThomas December 19, 2010

I wouldn't see a winter in NY without this product. My paths are the only ones in the neighborhood that are cleared to PERFECTION. It doesn't ELIMINATE shoveling after a storm, but it makes the job exponentially easier, and leaves paths free of slippery ice and remnants of snow. For an inch or two of snow, it eliminates shoveling completely. Essential for steps!!! I reapply when a storm is expected, and I probably have an overlap of application, which makes things even better.... It certainly takes the back-break out of the job!!!

great for ice

john6163 February 15, 2010

this stuff works great for icy conditions. we have a 300 foot driveway that curves and goes up at the same time. spray some of the de icer before ice comes and your good. the ice won't even stick to the concrete. it works ok with snow, helps it not to stick either, but is way better to thaw ice.

Save your money

KL48 December 26, 2018

Not impressed at all!! Box arrived and the product is actually in a plastic bag, not the container shown in the picture. Bag was leaking...sticky liquid all over. With the liquid in a bag and not a hard container it is bulky and awkward - very difficult to handle. I have applied twice and still get ice buildup on driveway. I don't believe this product works.

big disappointment

jms973 January 20, 2014

so everything i read said it would melt like two inches. like salting before the storm and preventing the first two inches frim "sticking" well i first spent the money on the sprayer then i got this so i thought i was ready for old man winter. i sprayed yeasterday in preparation for todays snow(4-6 inches) so this morning it starts snowing not heavely but my drivway is acccumulating snow at the same rate as everyone else. it would have been much much cheaper to pay some kids to shovel. so no bang for the buck. live and learn.
