Bare Republic Mineral SPF 50 Sunscreen Body Lotion, Vanilla Coco, 5 fl oz

Even my husband who hates lotions and sunscreen was impressed with how easily this goes on and protects. He has an immediate family member with melanoma and I had melanoma recently so sun care is so important in our household. Mineral protection is the way to go!

Nice sweet scent, goes on thick but easily rubs in to being more or less invisible. Not particularly moisturizing but I like it enough over other mineral sunscreens to use and order it again.

This is a very safe and effective sun screen. I goes on well and lasts long. Yes it is more expensive than other brands but the extra cost, to us, is worth the added safety.

Best Zinc and Titanium facial sunscreen I've found

I bought this for a trip to Jamaica, and the only reason I am giving two stars is that this product did seem to protect from the sun. The smell is really fake and unpleasant, nothing like vanilla or coconut. It leaves an almost purple sheen on your skin (I know mineral sunscreen leaves you looking white normally, but this was worse than normal) and makes your skin spotty looking if you go in the water (at first I thought the sunscreen was coming off because of all the white dots on my skin). One day I had to reapply due to the amount of time I spent outdoors and that night I washed my arms THREE times and couldn't get all the white stuff off, meanwhile the water draining down the shower was also a purply tinge. It made me not want to wear sunscreen at all since this was the only stuff I'd brought on the trip. There was also an unnecessary sticker to "seal" it and prevent leaking during shipping but there's a seal on the bottle under the cap already so this was not needed and it left a large sticky patch on the outside of the bottle that collected dirt and was really annoying. When I traveled from one place to the other after opening it (just by car, not on a plane) it did leak a little. Oh, and it took about two weeks to be delivered (it almost didn't come in time): not sure what the problem was there so that might not have anything to do with the product/seller. Again, it did prevent sunburn, but with so many other products on the market I would definitely not buy this one again. I threw it away when we left to come home.

I paid 19.96 each and when I got the two items they're both marked 7.00 each.

I applied this sunblock every 45 minutes and got sun poisoning. DO NOT BUY.
