bareMinerals Gen Nude Buttercream Lip Gloss - Totally 0.13 oz Lip Gloss

I got this lipgloss for free and probably wouldn't have bought it otherwise as I'm not normally a lipgloss person, I find it sticky don't like to be that shiny etc etc. So I was super pleasantly surprised when this lipgloss was not at all sticky!!! The colour is lovely, it gives your lips that lipgloss sheen (if you're the sort of person who likes that) but with no stickiness!! Would recommend if you're a gloss lover!

This buttercream lipgloss coats your lips in super soft luxury, my lips feel soft and constantly moisturised even on the coldest days. The colours are subtle and enhance the natural colour of your lips, I can't live without it and want it in every colour. One of my favourite baremineral products. Thank you again bareminerals!

I've recently bought two of the lipgloss in the colours 'Sugar' and 'Wink' and while I hardly ever normally wear glosses, yet alone nude lip glosses, the plumping action enticed me in. I have to say that they do make my lips look more moisturised and full when I wear them and the moisture is long-lasting long after the gloss has worn off. The colours are both amazing on my light skin and I want to try some more shades in the range as they really are the best nudes on the market!

I have a selection of these lipglosses and wear them on a daily basis. They are so hydrating for the lips aswell as in a range of stunning shades. And not to mention the gorgeous smell too- it smells good enough to eat!

Having received four of the Gen Nude colour range including the Buttercream Lipgloss in Cosmic, I have to say the colour palette is spot on. They're the most beautiful subtle tones which I'm sure will suit any skin tone and are perfect for any season. I love this Lipgloss and although it's not something I'd wear everyday (I prefer the Matte Lipcolor for work) I have worn this on a few evenings out and love the finish/sheen. I'll definitely be investing in a few more - difficulty will be trying to choose which of the colours.

Applying it took some getting used to. The applicator applies too much and reminds me of when we varnished our woodwork. The colour scared me a little to begin with (forbidden), it looks very 'plasticy' but when applied sparsely gave a my lips a lovely natural shine. It's not as sticky as it looks. Downside is it emphasises my dry lips that I have at the moment.

I love wearing this lipgloss in Forbidden (a light nude pink) over the lip pencil in Vibe (a rosy shade) for a fresh natural look. It feels balmy and comfortable on the lips and it is not too sticky for a lipgloss. I love how it makes my thin lips look plump and juicy.

The smell and formula are so nostalgic to the old lipgloss formula which I love. I have "Cosmic" which is a lovely sheer pinky shade with gold reflex in. It is a pleasant everyday shade which I can throw in my bag for a day look and add over the top of a lipstick for an evening look. Just a tad on the sticky side for me, but I will purchase more..

I trialled 'Cosmic' and it left my lips absolutely sparkling! They were shiny and glossy whilst still complimenting the natural look I go for. The brush glides for easy application and the lip gloss itself is so light and doesn't feel heavy on the lips. My only criticism is I struggled to gain full coverage. I really really like this product!

I really wanted to like this product as it sounded wonderful but it fell short of my expectations. I have been a loyal customer of Bare Minerals for 20 years and so was surprised by the disappointment experienced. The colour of this lipgloss is delightful (I purchased Forbidden) but that is the only positive remark I can offer. With or without using a lip primer application is uneven and patchy no matter how much or little I apply. The taste is slightly unpleasant. The staying power is quite simply less than I have ever experienced with any other lip gloss. After using this product I found my lips felt dry and uncomfortable - not what I expected - I have tried using the product under different temperature and humidity conditions but the results are always the same. I am surprised that this range is still in production. Sadly it now sits at the bottom of my reserve makeup bag and I think I will have to ditch it. Really disappointed.
